Problem with recording feelings is that in past we believed that exercising bring up happines, releasing endorfines etc- therefore nobody thought about possibility of it affecting nagativly mental state- and in overall having negative effect - mainly because dragging mental state so down that health benefit of exercising does not compensate.

15:30, meybe you need to developed resilinece but as Norman Garmezy reveal in his research about resilient children- some were extremally resilient at young age-without any formal training- perhaps they train by themselves but I doubt you would call it training but rather some sort of learning to survive, or just perhaps some been born with it.

Great post guys. Newer practitioners will need to learn to be confident and not be afraid to say no or not yet to the shiny, new products. And to have clear rationale for their decisions to choose or not choose methods/equipment.

Thanks Nicole. Priorities, basics, fundamentals sometimes need rebranding, in an attempt to keep them fresh. But there is no getting away from the fact that the simple things done will needs to be the focus most of the time!

Hi there, thank you so much for the video. I have a question. Just took on a client that plays squash 5-6x/week with a coach. She's on to her first tournament in July. I am not a squash trainer or coach. I am a personal trainer in a gym. She is enjoying our sessions and building muscle. How can I help her propel forward the closer we get to the tournament? I did write a more performance/explosive and quick movement plan that we were going to introduce 3-4 weeks prior to the competition. But I am not sure. Please help. Kind regards/Roo

If u got a dog and u both like eachother , then that Dog is your coach ! 😅 it expects u to take them out for a walk everyday rain or shine 💪😅 Interesting conversation, one thing i think u missed out on is exercise can bring you into the present monent . As a rough rule ive heard it mentioned depression is thinking about the past and anxiety is worrying abour the future , if u can do any activity that gets you to focus on the exact now the present then thats very beneficial , and a good escape , whether that be dancing drama music class or a hiit cycle swim footie rugby game. Especially when one is learning in a pleasant surrounding. I enjoy off road xc mtb cycling up and down the hills , bridleway type stuff and when i really enjoy it its because im focusing on the ride , my attention constantly lookin out for obstacles to avoid crashing, the observations of my body breathing and heart beat , my constant changing surroundings , i usually dont enjoy it when im not in the present and stuck thinking about the past or future . DInghy sailing which i tried , one has to really focus on the present to avoid capsizing 😅 so i guess any activity that gets you into the here and now . With intensity , i enjoy going for a walk for several reasons ,because its a slower activity allows time to think , though one can still walk up and down a hill to get good exercise on walking . Then as the intensity increases llike cycling fast at tempo your brain has to focus more on the immediate now . Another personal observation i gor into Goggins 💪😅 sept 21 and since then have kept a yearly calender to make a note of exercises i do everyday , i include walking as an exercise . My observation have found it really tough on and off to keep momentum going , and have definitefully found it beneficial by keeping the habit going by focusing on time more than reps , infact if im not feeling 10mins counts as a workout just to keep things rolling until mood or spare time improves . The thing with exercise your generally expected to improve every week , thats what all the coaching plans demand which sets one up for fail , but really for most people u just wanna do something regularly , increase teaining when you feel like it and keep it tickin over when the mojo is not there . Just a few thoughts cheers 🙂

If you're doing a video/podcast longer than an hour, it's helpful to include timestamps. It's one thing to have a podcast playing while you're working on something else, but it's another thing altogether to commit almost 2 hours (sometimes more) of focused listening to a podcast to get to the one or two salient points that you're interested in. As Sweet Brown so eloquently said, 'ain't nobody got time for that'
