I didn't use to see races. I saw people for who they are. When this movie came out, it was brilliant that he pretended to be black. We loved it. We loved the actor and the character. Didn't make fun of it at all. For some reason, it's concidered racist. I don't know why, it doesn't disrespect black people at all. It has nothing to do with hate. In fact, it's more respecting them when we can do this. In my opinion, if people DIDNT want to pretend they are black, THAT is the racist part. Think about it. Would the black community (I hate that this is a thing) be playing white people and be proud of it? I cant imagine that. It's a thing now that the black community is proud of being black. The racism is getting reversed.

This film was hilarious. The blackface thing is more a dig at Hollywood, it seems. "You people..." "What do you mean, you people?" "What do YOU mean, "you people!?" That scene had me in stitches.

He was NOT a huge fan of the books. He didn't even read the books until 2018. And he only read them through once. He was a die-hard fan of the GAMES, but the games are not book canon and the Geralt of the games isn't much like the Geralt of the books. He even thought the books were an adaptation of the game (which lol as Sapkowski's first short stories about Geralt were published in Fantastyka magazine in 1985). He's a poser and trying to forward this narrative that he wanted to be true to book Geralt when even after reading the book he leaned hard into GAME Geralt and even threw his lines that would give him more depth than "hmmm" and grunting. The writing of the show sucked, the decisions they made sucked and cheapened the series, but Cavill is NOT a victim either.
