Hey thanks for the upload. Been trying to research how legal they are here.. seems all the laws say only on private land, and downtown says your not aloud to even skateboard.. have you had any issues with this?
It's been fine for me. It seems that as long as your not obnoxious, no one will bother you. I'm probably going to sell my board since I bike mostly now but boosted boarding is so much fun!

I’ve been debating saving for one I’m moving downtown- any issues with police saying you can’t ride it anywhere?
Haven't run into any trouble with the police. Seems like as long as you're not cutting people off and whizzing past people you should be alright.
Rob Schrage thanks - there was a man in Vancouver that got a major fine his first ride out and was told her could ride on the street because it wasn’t insured and was also not allowed on the sidewalk. Did you order online or find it locally?
You might have some luck asking/searching on Reddit on if people are getting hassled. On the bike paths and around Sunnyside I have had no issues. I ordered online.
Hi Rob! I was wondering if you can ride the boosted board on the road without the bike lane in Calgary. Has the police ever been mad at you for riding on the road?
I haven't run into any issues with the cops yet. I'm lucky that I'm near the river so I'm mostly on bike paths.

+FakePlastickTree I haven't had any issues yet. It seems like as long as you're on a bike path and not interfering with others then you're ok. These days I honestly don't trust it to go on roads downtown due to the traffic lights signalling interfering with the bluetooth with the board. Had a few cases when the board would not respond, and I needed to kick push through an intersection. Not fun when there are cars behind you.

Hey I'm think of buying one as a cheaper replacement for car, my avg one way trip is 10km, will this do?, I want to sell my money-draining rust bucket of car because student life is all about cutting costs to maximize education and minimize work.
I think you might run out of battery around 8KM depending on the hills.

+Phuong Yeah it definitely is pricey. But it saves me $100/month on bus passes, so it works out.

Electriceeeel Haha yeah they can be a challenge. Luckily my commute in to work is on nice sidewalks and roads. Thanks for watching!
+Rob Schrage One tip on really rough areas of the road (or railroad tracks) is to hop off and still have the board going and just run/walk beside it. That will put less stress on it and it will still go over these areas fine. Then, hop back on after you clear it.
