Greetings from the south Okanagan. Thanks for the video, it was a realistic example of chasing pretty much anything where populations aren't high, the game is mobile and the weather is variable. The first two things we tell the annual CORE class is "luck favors the prepared" and "the mountain doesn't care if you die on it". The guide did well by the way kudos.

A hunter with that kind of attitude will not be a very successful hunter, and makes it harder for those around him to be successful.

I drew leh for mnt goat in 731 I went with the 300 prc and 225 eldm what bullet did you use in that 6.5 prc nice short handy barrel.

I really respect the decision to not show the zoomed in kill shot. Keeps the video focused on the adventure and camaraderie and hard work to find the goat and not the death of an animal.

Excellent docu-video. Super photography. This is hunting boys. You freeze your ass, your feet and fingers. But when you bag your game, it’s the best darn hunt. The guide; Ben Stourac of Arcadia Outfitters deserves the award for patience, for sure. But he’s obviously a very experienced and professional Outfitter and Guide. I’m sure he’s seen and worked with all kinds of hunters. The guide is not the bringer of game. He knows the country and the behaviour of the game. He’s a second pair of eyes and a calming, reassuring voice of reason and experience. He’ll bring the buck-fever under control. You are pumped with adrenaline and feeling the pressure, shaking so bad you can hardly aim straight. You have the animal, he’s turned his head to listen. He’s pretty sure he heard something but wants to……listen?……..Your heart is pounding and you’ve been holding your breath so long that now you’re breathing and chest is heaving and so excited you’re hardly able to steady yourself. But in a calm……steady,…..almost relaxed voice, Ben says, “Whenever you’re ready.” And time slows down for you. You can gain control of yourself and for the moment……you realize……the game is Yours. Aim straight, my friend. Great job Hunter! Great Job Guide! Great job Spotter! Congratulations on the buck. Nothing like venison in the freezer. God Bless you ALL and keep you safe.

Just like fishing, hunting is all about patience and luck. If fishing was easy it would be called catching. If hunting was a sure thing, it would just be called killing.

Glad I'm not the only one a little bothered by the client's attitude. The guide gets the award for patience and not telling the guy to pack his bags and head home.

I can't stand this guy's personality! I hate hunting with guys that have no patience and are passive aggressive! He's like trying to blame the guide for the weather, etc. etc. Just that short jabbing kinda narrative that just pisses me off! You want to go out in the weather, then go! Just like chasing that Buck. The outfitter knew better and we viewers agreed with the guide. But he eventually caved in and went after the Buck. He wrapped up camp and went back to basecamp because of his clients fucked up attitude. My advice to this young whippersnapper, slow down and keep your comments and your passive aggressive statements to yourself! Your hard to listen too! Stop acting like your better and tougher than everyone else!
