Another great podcast

Pastor Drew, I found so much in this sermon 🙏🏼 to further ponder. (Alone and with others.) And I’ve some questions also regarding it. My main question was answered possibly with you mentioning: Chosen Challenged Changed . . . “But it doesn’t stop there. As we’re then challenged again, bringing more change.” So, for example, at what point is our testimony at a valid share point? (At the first, “changed?” Or three challenges and changes later? 🥹) Is it only when a “pain point,” or past sin of mine has been reconciled by Him to the point where it can resonate with others because there’s been a healing process of some type? What are the elements that make up a “personal testimony?” I feel like I should know. The term is thrown around quite liberally, yet I don’t think many are aware of its “makeup.” It’s got to be in the details somehow. It’s not enough in my understanding to say, “Found Jesus. Changed forever.” (Now, that could be enough🤷🏼‍♀️) But if that’s all anyone ever heard from those of us positively affected by him. It wouldn’t be an individualized personal testimony. For so long, I’ve wanted to speak to others about Jesus’ work in my life. And I’m thankful for those who have shared details about the change wrought in them through Jesus. But I’ve never picked those apart into sections so that I could do the same. And maybe it’s because I have a difficult time understanding, simplicity. Sad but true. I know it’s got to be something so available for us to use, and maybe it’s because, the closer it is to us, the harder it is to see. (At least for me. ) the more obvious something is, the more likely I’m to miss it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ But once I catch on. . . Look out! Another thing is, there’s been so many beautiful train-wrecks in my life due to him somehow revealing himself within my suffering. I wouldn’t know where to start. (And I’m supposed to be an author.) I think it would be great to get together in a type of class, where we each work on our faith- journey, personal testimony, so when we are asked, or prompted to share it, we have a clear knowledge of what witnessing about him means.

Tina. . . Your heartfelt testimony is a sure light to a barren people. . . Or to put more accurately to this still healing woman. Your message resonated with me on so many levels. I should have made notes, and I will watch it again, to do so. For my own growth and affirmation. Thanks for your bravery and for standing up to speak of the goodness of the Lord Jesus. And doing it so eloquently. He was there. With his arm around your shoulders. And his spirit was hovering protectively. . . And angels surrounded those present. Like a hedge. Another battle won, and not only that day. For the words spoken by you, are eternal truths. And Jesus said, in John 17:15-21: 15 “I do not pray for You to take them out of the world, but for You to keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth. 18 As You have sent Me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world. 19 And I sanctify Myself for their sakes, so that they also might be sanctified in truth. 20 And I do not pray for these alone, but for those also who shall believe on Me through their word, 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” Thank you again for sharing. 💖✝️🤗
