How Long Does The Foil Drive Slim Battery Last?
In this video I go out in some small Lake Michigan waves to see how long two foil drive slim performance batteries last.

In this video I bring the Foil Drive to Lake Michigan in Wisconsin to try out riding some very sloppy wind swell. This was my first time out in the waves and also my first time using the Armstrong MA 1225 with the foil drive. Was able to get on a few bumps but it was definitely a new feeling for me!

Today I rode a slingshot 999, 1125sq., slim performance, 38 ltr., 4 foot 6, on flat water for 16 minutes, missed 4 or 5 pop ups, I weigh 160. Battery checker says 20%
Interesting so you were just efoiling around or did you have a mix of pumping in there?
Hey did you order the Amos board with a cutout for the foil drive battery?
@@hugohiga5445 no this is their Sultan Wing board. I’ve ridden the appletree board with a cutout and I actually noticed a difference in the drag when you would touch down
It looks like you’re pushing the nose down with your front leg when you pump. Am I seeing that right?
Yeah I guess that’s just part of it being a bigger board, requires a little more work!
What wing are you using and how heavy are you?
@@DigitalPosion this was the hs 1850 and im about 155lbs (70kg)
@@hunterlukes Amazing, have you tried a smaller wing? I am on cf1600 and thinking it may not be the best to learn pumping on
@@DigitalPosion I’ve used a bunch! Love the hs or apf series for pumping. MA 1225 is pumpable but very difficult with stall speed, I wouldn’t recommend that one

How long are you getting on the slim battery?
These sessions i was getting about 20 minutes per session and ending with about 25% battery left. But I was mostly motoring around as you see in the video!

how long does the session last with FD Slim? I want to purchase one to learn how to pump
With pumping here and there we get about 20-30 minutes. If I were to just motor around and efoil 100% of the time it wouldn’t last more than 15 minutes. Definitely worth it to get two batteries if you go with the slim!
I get 45min foil surfing on the max battery. I usually use 2 - 3 batteries in a session.
That front wing kinda sucky. If you get the new HA front wing you will see better glide and performance
Great for learning! Definitely want to use others for actual wave riding

@@DigitalPosion 20cm cord. Axis Spitfire 1180 on an 82 cm mast.
I learning and admittedly Kalina is better than me so far but I would say losing the leash helped me be on the board more as often it got in the way and there is very little benefit in having one when practicing in Flat water.
The leash definitely was pretty annoying!
Where is the motor located on the mast?
This is the 25 cm cable length, about 10 inches
