Welcome to my Channel, here I mostly just play War Thunder for content and because my broke ass can't afford a decent Rig with a PC to play DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) so I resorted to War Thunder anyways sit back and enjoy the shity content I make, I stream on Twitch and post my videos I make on RUclips, if I need improvements let me know by putting your suggestions in the comments on my videos, thanks and have a wonderful rest of your day. 🐺
Mirage 2000 is Under Performing
I'm on console, so no I can't use third party software to accurately get reap time data as I do these tests, so this is the only way I can do these, I'm sorry if its not perfectly done, but I try to be as accurate as I can, it's under performing by 1.4°, although in the EM Chart, you can see it does like 12.4° Sustained at near mach 0.9, and I did it at mach 0.8 as its easier to measure, even then its still under performing.

The Gripen needs a nerf, it's energy retention is higher than it should be, but in real life its better than the Mirage 2000's energy retention, so it should be a little better than the m2k's, sustained turn rate is over performing by 2 to 3 degrees overall, it should be 20° at around 390 knots not 23° which is what we are currently getting (clean payload at the deck).

Holy this aircraft is fun, the sustained turn above 350 knots is way over performing, it has the same sustained turn rate as the F-16A Block 10 models, and the F-14B. However, this is only possible with only 13 minutes of fuel left (which is good enoughto rtb after a dogfight).

My gripen is Stock by the way, and this thing has the same bug the 29 use to have where it pulls and then stops and repeats (Wobbles up and down when pulling aoa) anyways hope you guys enjoyed the clip, o7.

this was a fun 1v1 no one was talking it seriously and missiles were eventually fired but it was as a funny joke and most of the time at the end of the dogfight, thank you for watching, sub and like. o7

i never new user made missions could be this much fun, for context the map my friend invited me to, was a bvr map, with 90nm distance between us, we were messing around and just having fun anf doing some bvr engagements, this is what ended up happening, fuel was off as we didnt care, to try and recreate an actual match scenario.

im on console so i cant use third party software to see the dps in real time, i have to time how long it took to complete 90° and then devide by it, this can be achieved not only with 90 degrees of a turn sustained (no losing or gaining speed, although i did gain and lose a very few in speed, by 1 or 3 knot difference) this can be done using 180 degrees sustained, or a full 360°. the only info ...

He had almost 0 horizontal speed so there was very little lift produced by the wing so even with TW ration greater than 1 it would be only possible if he pointed its nose right to the sky or if he had much more horizontal speed Upd: and it would work only if he had both wings. In this case irl he would 100% enter the state similar to the spin

Thank you, I gave small amount of evidence about rhe gripen and what needs a change, but I got two comments asking where the evidence at 😑. Either way, gonna post the screenshot to the forums with the tests I did, a hopefully find actual conditions to go off and compere to, so the patch goes through quicker. But, it's good to be back

Burn out, kinda waiting on the summer update so when amraams drop I at least can enjoy bvr again, R27ER Spam made top tier stale, and lower tier in general is filled with only meta jets/props or suffer kinda behaviour, so, I'm just gonna wait, I'll upload as soon as amraams drop on the live server tho, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's a user mission unfortunately, so unless you have a computer with a Gaijin account it is the only yo have access these kinds of maps, I think it's called "BVR fights"

@@AeroTurtle blame it on gaijin for not making it possible, I wish I could, can't even use a pc and type the game match on replay system, the only way is if there is a pc player already in there, goes into the replay, clips it, and then sends to me via email or a file to download of the clip (mp4), gaijin just sucks.

It finally got nerfed, it's sustained is accurate and instantaneous is a bit questionable but it's closer to irl performance, its sustained is 22° and Instantaneous is around 40°, these test were made with the same fuel conditions in the video.

You could use WTRTI to get the exact turn rate your plane is doing in real time.
I wish, I'm on console, no softwares can be used, I have to do it all manually, which has some user error, but it gives us good enough data to be used.
10 minutes in game for the F-15 is equal to 3500 pounds of internal fuel, i am doing more testing and ive done it with 7000 pounds of fuel, and its sustained 24° (23.7°).

I hope you are being sarcastic, I can't tell cuz it's a text I'm reading, but yes ik, It's a Viper and I put in the title "Fake" as a joke lol, and in the description, but the funnel in the Viper is specific to the MLU, as its the only one to get the Mid Life Update/Upgrade to the avionics, cockpit, HMD, and similar capabilities to a block 50 model of the Viper, its a taiwanese vehicle in the Chinese tech tree of the game, and I wish it wasn't

@rgaeaben8043 ah all good, yh I can never tell if it's a joke or not in the comments, but all good, and I agree, I hope to see more f16s too, I just hope next major update we get more aircraft with fox 3 capabilities like the f16's, yak 141, j8f, ja37d and the grippen that they will be adding, and maybe hmd for the mlu and netz

@rgaeaben8043 yes, good at bvr, as for dogfighting, it's will probably be the worst rate fighter, the mig29 can out rate it in irl, but it terms of bvr and speed, very good 👍
The fact you managed to recover from that is actually pretty cool, if it was an actual F-18 then you probably could do this alot better at those speeds (I'm asuming your super slow, near the 180 knots range) but either way pretty nuts.
If the video was very clear, the missile was over correcting itself for no reason while the target was just flying in a straight line, causing the missile to lose a ton of momentum.
