Like the four seasons theme and how you are planning it. Just the same concerns about sand getting in the wheels etc but would look great ! Sure you will get it spot on. Great work 👍🏼

You have made great leaps in progress! Color me jealous! Train modelers use diluted white glue and water to seal down thier gravel/sand products... I'd toss you a link or two but my posts with links always get deleted!

Very nice! What was it exactly that you used for the ground snow on the top layer? Just spackle?

Sometimes for our own satisfaction, we have to put in the work though it may never be noticed on screen. Keep those areas of greater detail in mind for more potential places to shoot the B-roll, perhaps where the camera is steady and a few cars roll by. Yeah, four seasons as a design plan, I love it! I've seen it used before to great effect but sadly one track I know is defunct and no longer hosting and the other I'm certain will meet the same fate, pity, to make room for a new design. At the defunct track they even had cotton ball clouds to further sell the idea of extreme height on the mountain, so there's a simple freebie idea if you wish The sand at the very bottom, would you consider yellow coloured woodworking grit sandpaper instead? It works visually at this scale and you avoid the issues brought up in the commentary. I can't suggest using some clear sealant on actual sand to encapsulate it because I'd really be out of my depth to give good advice, plus that just means more chemicals sprayed in a smallish room *and* I couldn't vouch for the results

Like so many other pursuits you can do things fast or cheap, just never both. Oy, having to import so much of the one compound, 80 quid worth! Sorry about that! looking good mate! Great progress! Have you considered newsprint mush? Paper Mache made from old newspapers and white glue? You can get great flock from Campbell Coutts in the UK... Much cheaper than railway scenics and can get kilo bags of various lengths and blends!

This was a good race and i think u should make the track longer like more straight tracks for better races but this was a giid tournament

I want to hold this video up as an example to every host who ever asked me what "cool" features of a new build would bring in the audience. A track is merely a stage upon which to put on a show. Get it running well, film it right, have a good story to tell and that's the important bit! It WAS hilarious to hear "sack" from an American accent 😂😂 most unexpected! MarioKart & character themed cars aren't my first choice in racing and still this was a fun show 💯😎🏁

Terrific update 👏 When you paint the different track sections to fit the decor, what sheen are you expecting to use? Painting plastic is one thing and having to consider that cars will race on the surface brings other aspects into the mix. You expressed concerns regarding cracks in the plaster. To me that would only enhance the random natural look especially in a proposed cliff face. Going with batting that is only half as thick should work a treat, easier to hang and manipulate let alone less painting to get the desired look. The "spare" camera placement you described seems good and I encourage you to shore up the coverage there just to take some pressure off yourself in that last section. Trees 🌳 don't get me going on those. That more hosts aren't opting for a desert motif astounds me; a few cacti here and there has to be better for the bank account 😅 Great filming platform, I'm happy that it solves so many issues!!
