DEATH STRANDING™ Corpses going necro
Просмотров 113 тыс.Год назад
A quick showcase of what happens if you leave bodies out in the open for 12 in-game hours in Death Stranding. BTs spawn from the corpses, if you are in the vicinity you can then kill the BTs, which means the threat to other porters is eliminated. This is part of a test I am performing to see if MULEs ever respawn if their camp is completely wiped out lethally. I will be revisiting this camp per...
Battlefield™ 1 - Carrier Pigeon has a stroke

Video is captured during the first mission: Through Mud and Blood. After the section where the tank becomes bogged down in the Madame the pigeon is released, my controls went haywire and this was the result. Judging from the music and other RUclips videos this was meant to be a pretty epic aerial flight, mine was a glitchy buggy mess. Probably gonna restart the campaign to play the mission corr...

loo is laughing👋😊
Huh, i thought they didn't turn into BTs on the actual gameplay and deadman just warned you not to kill bc yeah
Im really getting into this game . Def worth play before second one drops
I spent 40 hours just barely getting to Mountain Knot. Hope you are enjoying the game just as much!
Damm. I had no clue that this is what happened
oh fuck, are those mules I hit with my truck gonna come back to bite me?
If they died, possibly. There'll be an icon on the map if they are corpses. Either: dispose of the bodies, let them go Necro and kill the BTs, or have a big voidout which will prompt you to load the most recent save. This load process is unique in that it removes the corpses from your map, so if you get a warning from Deadman that the corpses going Necro is imminent, just save often and you won't lose too much progress. Honestly the game goes out of its way to tell you that lethal actions are bad, but the consequences are actually pretty minimal even if you do absolutely nothing about it.
Why speed up the video?
Creative choice. The order time is at the end for stats purposes, and the sections I sped up we're uneventful in my opinion. If you prefer real-time representation of the journey, I'll take that on-board if I decide to upload any more 😁 Thanks for watching though 👍👍👍
All this talk about bodies going necro being a bad thing and this looks very easily manageable. Now I wanna try doing an all-lethal only run.
You'd think this area would be free of Mules after killing these guys and then sending their BTs to the other side.
If Sam is killed by a BT, Then that triggers a Voidout.
I hate this bored game...
Killed like one mule outside of the Port Knot city or whatever that first city is when you enter the area after the very first Ran him over with his own stollen truck because I thought it was funny Didn’t realise he’d fuckin die 😂 left him there for a while then got a very c/m vernier call from The team telling me I had to take it to the Furnace right away 😂 Was a pain to transport them there
Does anyone know what happens if you kill everyone at a mule camp and they go necro and turn into a BT...but then, you don't kill the BTs? Does the Mule camp repopulate with regular people and therefore get a voidout. Or does the game keep the BTs there and "simulate" that the camp is infested with BTs so therefore Mules don't come to it ever again?
Hmmmm good question gna chek this out
This is what I'm trying to experiment with but it's such a slow process to wait for the corpses to Necro. Tried dragging one into a B.T. zone to see if they would cause a void out with the corpse but no they just walk over it. Even boss B.T. done care. Also wanted to try making one go Necro out in the middle of nowhere to see what happens if I get grabbed by them there, if the game will let me VO since there are no structures nearby or Porter NPCs. Seems like if you just dump corpses in an existing B.T. zone your safe to ignore them
@@alephnole7009 i believe the corpse can be taken causing a voidout if you agitate the BTs in the existing BT zoned while the dead body lays on the ground.
@@Element9846 I tried that earlier before watching this video. Tossed a blood bag onto the body near a BT. Didn't work. Then tried acting agroing it myself to make it have the orange hands. Nothing. Then got caught right next to it and ran out of the tar to see if the ones in the ground would do something. Nothing. It appears to only be BT eating a living human. Honestly, given how the Cremation creates chiralium clouds it's probably best to just catapult bodies all into one remote spot then create big chiralium storms near incinerators.
If you are far it simulates the porters getting cought by the BTs the corpses caused thus game over but if you are close porters wont go trough and you can take down the BTs. Dead man says himself the BT cought a human
I thought I was so smart, leavin a few corpses at a MULE camp. Figured they'd eat the jerks n voidout the base. Instead, I got a gigantic voidout that destroyed the world n had to reset my last save. I was sad. Raced over to get the jerks since you can't voidout a MULE camp, n on my way to the incinerator the fuckers went necro. Boooooiiiiiiiii that shit scared the fuck outta me! I may have voided out the entrance to the mountain too...... do they stay there forever? Cuz shit. Lol
Whats happens when thats BTs take Sam?
You get a game over. When the tar comes up out of the ground, the BTs that catch and drag you down become chiral gold. When these ones catch you it's a game over. I think this is because there's no designated arena for a boss fight. Same thing happens if you get caught near a voidout crater, as there is nowhere to put the boss BT.
Did the first void out only happen bc a big BT ate a living guy?
Yup, tho the voidout happens because BT's have an antimatter core inside of them, so technically speaking, it would have still happened even if the guy was dead when it ate him because matter is matter. But i guess BT's don't try to eat corpses, they are dead thus they are attracted to the living. Sounds kinda dumb but... They really just want to hug you!
Love how ALL of the outlets with guides and stuff say "you want to always use a bunch of ziplines to get yourself that LoL rank" yet the hardest of those deliveries are just... trucking around, chillin, and getting LoL while doing it XD
Killing Mules? Really?
I just know the benefits of EX Granades now lol
Rill
Sam: That's right, I'm here to kill you, AGAIN!
I really like ur arttt
I don't feel so good after watching this. This isnt about going necro. It's a guide on farming chiral!
I didn't get what happened about the main topic of the video, as I got focused on the MULE stealing your truck. I've got 300h into the game, nobody ever stole my truck so I didn't even know it was a thing.
I once killed a mule and after some time it caused a void-out, odd
Corpse you left behind went necro and turned into a new BT. And at some point, either a porter or a respawned MULE got eaten by that BT and caused the voidout. NPC,s will NEVER travel through BT territory. But when you leave a corpse to become a BT in a non-BT area, shit happens lol This is why some players claim that they've killed several enemies without causing a voidout, they were just extremely lucky that no random NPC ran into their handiwork :p
Cool
There are also yellow ones, they are fast.... As I understand it, you can kill them with a knife and missiles
Is there a lore reason Sam can't just carry some kind if torch to burn the bodies without having to lug the bodies to the to the crematorium? Or is that something you eventually unlock? (I'm only like halfway through the game)
As far as I know, when you cremate a corpse, it releases a significant amount of chiral matter or ashes, which can attract BTs. That's why you need to use a crematorium, as it releases them into the sky above in a isolated place.
@@julioso9339 ah, ok. That makes sense. I mean, as much as anything can make sense in Death Stranding lol.
Julio's lore reason is right, but gameplay ways, the whole point is to encourage non-lethal play. The whole "Strand-type game" thing is about building connections with people, interacting with a game world is a uniquely pro-social way. Making it mechanically easier to kill people would go against the basic premise of the game.
That means you must carry each corpse up to the insinerator each time? Now i'm not gonna buy the game i don't like chores like that lol
@@henrikmonkee if I had seen this comment thread befire I played the game I would have thought the same thing but it's pretty easy not to kill anyone. I only killed 1 person on accident during my whole playthrough.
What was the liquid the mule throw at you?
Slip grenade. You can't get individual slip grenades yourself, but they are an ammo type for the grenade launcher. They cause you to lose balance and slip over, real pain in the ass if you have a big tower of cargo like I did
Thanks@@julesmasonlynch! I will explore what else is available in the weapons arsenal. : )
@@NeoAF10 just keep 5-starring all the preppers and distro centres, you'll get heaps of cool shit for it
Always wondered if I could use them against mules, hut seems like not 😅
Was that a voidout?
Yeah bro. Causes a game over when it's not Sam, prompts you to reload last save
one of the games of all time
I thought leaving them dead caused a void out but holy moly, this would be a cool way to farm chiralium if it's repeatable and doesn't cost likes!
It's pretty slow though. Gotta wait 12 in game hours to harvest em, it's way quicker to just cycle around BT zones and do the boss fights. More fun too.
@@julesmasonlynch Ahh true, I didn't see it took 12 hours. I usually do the same, just get grabbed by BTs then fight the boss, plenty of chiralium :) Did you get thumbs down for killing the BTs?
@@jaygatsby3039 I think it was neutral in terms of likes. But if you spawn BTs from corpses and use the cuff links on em, you get likes. So if you look at it that way, the only way to get likes from MULEs is by killing them lol
A body going Necro just makes a BT a BT touching someone who’s around that body causes a void out That’s why they freak out so bad about not burning the bodies there’s just a random fucking BT sitting around that area and if someone gets too close, it’s gonna grab them and fucking kill everything
ah yes, kill them when alive and kill them more after death
bro how many bodies did you drop damn
Probably like 80?
I've almost 100%'ed this game, and I've never seen that happen until now woah 😮
well its pretty obviously since the begining of the game they tell you don't kill anyone i roticed that so i did my whole run without killing anyone i use non lethal weapons
@@mrenigma1564 yep, same here
@fakskis yeah I’m in the process of getting 9 bodies to go necro you literally have to wait 48 hours not game wise but a whole 48 hours my system been on since Monday and I have 12 hours to go.
At the end of my second run I used to kill these guys in the most creative ways and make pictures over their corpses 😅
this game stopped my bloodthirst, I just got bored packing and delivering corpses to incinerator, so eventually I started to use non-lethal weapons
The punishment is really low so i still use lethal even shoot uncontious bodies yea it did NOT help with my blood thirst it just forces you to load a previous save and all the corpses on the map just get removed its really not that big of a deal
I didn't understand very well. How exactly did you kill red BTs ?
Eventually I gave up using the hematic grenades and used the cord cutter. I'm not sure if you'd consider this a spoiler, but it's an item you get at a certain point in the story. I won't say any more.
@@julesmasonlynch yeah, I finished the game and then watch some videos of gameplay tips and became aware about the cord cutter. I have know this before It would have made my gameplay way easier!
@@julesmasonlynch In fact, I already finished the game, so, I can't get spoiled. But I'm not remembering of what the cord-cutter is... not even remembering of that... Maybe the cord-cutter is exclusive to director's cut ? Mhh... in fact, it finally means something to me... but I think I've only used it very rarely or never. Does it actually oneshot kill red BTs ?
@@paulandrogueblood yeah, you get it from Mama when you go to her the second time. You don't have BB and have to get her to Mountain Knot. The cord cutter allows you to kill a BT (free it from this world in lore) but you have to sneak up to em undetected. It's available in the standard edition. Try it out! Hold your breath as you approach one, you should get a command prompt. Only works on BTs with umbilical cords.
@@julesmasonlynch Oh yes, I remember now ! You use it to cut the umbilical cord of a BT ! I remember when mama gave it, now. But I never used it. Ok, I'll try it 👌🏾. Death Stranding is, for me, one of the best videogames of all times. Hope the 2 will not disappoint. Asking myself wich path it will take, espacially after the end of the 1
Love flaming BT, they give GEpa of Chiral crystals.
That's a lot of corpses. I killed a single MULE a while back and threw the body into the water. For some reason I never got a call from Deadman and the body kept floating until I stopped playing.
Tar in the lakes negates the effects. You either burn a body or drop it in a river
My game just gives game over and makes me reload a previous save.
That's what happens if the BT catches a mule or a porter. But you can kill the BTs before that happens.
is there a body because you killed them or is it because sometimes there's just bodies?
Because I killed them. BB wasn't happy about it, but you can soothe her afterwards to restore her autoxemia meter. Bodies take 12 hours to go necro, so in order to pass that time I went up and down the safehouse elevator 24 times, each time elapses 30 in game minutes. The shelter I used was the one at the start of the video
@@julesmasonlynch Sweet thank you allso great videos 👍
@@Plankgu thank you!
You should do livestreams
Haha I'm a bit too shy to do that I think. Also I have a newborn and a 2 year old, only time I get to game is late at night when the wife and kids are sleeping. But I appreciate the interest!
@@julesmasonlynchwe are at the same club 😂 only can play when all already sleep...
Мне русская озвучка в Dead Stranding нравится больше!
Maybe I'll try a playthrough with other languages, I can't say I'm familiar with how the Russian voice actors sound
Suprise suprise, you prefer your own language, Ever wondered why that is or is that too hard for your brain to figure out
BT for absolutely no reason: Ouuu poopie.
Coprophilia is one helluva drug
@@julesmasonlynch My pet rabbit approves 👍
Wait, is this allowed?
you can also kill them by hitting them with the gold chiral bullets
i find it weird that the only crater is the one from the start of the game and literally no other craters are ever seen unless you make one.
Bridges Corpse Disposal. its not like anyone is not dying in the cities, people die all the time but sam is not the only one suppose to dispose of the body so they must have formed new Corpse Disposal Unit and they dispose of any body which is not related to Mule, Porters or Terrorists. we do get mission to rescue Porters and also dispose of Dead porters and if you kill one then you get to dispose it.
Craters are from when living souls get touched to a BT Core (the boss things), corpses going Necro doesn't cause Voidouts.
Aren’t their craters north of Lake Knot city?
there’s literally craters all over the place….. theres one that’s even a whole chapter in the story
??? Theres one just north of the Craftsman and theres one by Mama and South Knot too....
keep on keeping on
Hey, mine's heavier!
Oh good heavens that is A LOT. OF CORPSES
hehehheheheheh my body count is 98 *yes im a physcopath* the punishment is like nothing it just makes you load one of your previous saves
Never killed the mules. First - that's ruthless, they're lost(though annoying), Second - waste of materials. They give so much hidden cargo
yes sensei
But they come back after a while don't they?
@2651 yes but it take some time I think
