Great shelter this one.
This is Winter?? 😂😂
Looks good mate. Reminds me of my friends Fox Frontier X which it the business 💪
Just seen comments 🙁 not great then
@@sifishes no mate. But I think they have sorted some issues with it.
@@carpinglife Cool, thanks for letting me know 👍
Hi was wondering if you think i could squeeze two standard bedchair in this bivvy. Asking as i mainly fish alone but there are the odd nights I'm with the wife . A two man bivvy will be far to large for me most of the year. This one looks very promising. Thanks
Hello all, the most up to date information directly from Avid is that the bivvies are expected to be back in stock end of July. Lets see if the tight material issue will be fixed.
My local tackle shop have sent 6 back to avid this week due to fabric been to tight
Does the bedchair touch the bivvy material at tve head and foot end. Basically bulging each each end thanks
It does if its right at the back unfortunately, also the way ground sheet attaches it doesn't stop water coming in one jota
Dont like the colour or the poles at the front, & obviously a few issues to iron outl
Can’t wait to get on the bank with mine, no issues with the one I have the only thing I did was lubricated the front pole sockets with a little silicon grease, and they slide perfectly now👌
Avid are aware of an issue with the front poles being made too long and the Material is being stretched way to taught, Tom from Avid has givennthis Info and Avid have swapped a few defected Bivvys with this.
So having put it up in garden I found it quite hard to get front poles in and also a couple of the poles were hard to break down. Thought it was because it was new. Had it out on this session and it went up ok but front arms still tight. Had it back up today in garden and noticed the materiel that holds the from arms in place has ripped and it was also very difficult to break down again. Not fit for purpose this one. It’s a shame as the Bivvy is a great design. The front peaks are superb. Not sure I want to risk another one tbh
Sorry to hear that you’ve had some issues with your new bivvy. We were notified of an issue prior to Christmas with the first batch of EXO+ bivvies, immediately we sent out a notice to all of our retailers for a recall of the stock for them to be QC checked and any issues ironed out. If you haven't already, please could you return the bivvy to the retailer you purchased it from and they will be able to help you further with returning the item to us.
Seems to be a load of copies of the Tempest about these days 😂
You mean titan
All made in the same factory in China
@aarondavies8486 so is 80% of your household items & electronics along with 70% of your car parts...
@stevenrice148 not made in the same factory though are they
@@stevenrice148 well seeing it was the Aqua Pioneer that was the 1st outer skeleton popup from a spreader block, i guess he didnt mean Titan??
Did this go up easy? I've got one and got issues putting it up. Avid are recalling stock from suppliers due to material being too tight on frame which was stopping mine going up. Interested on how you found it first time putting it up Cheers!
Yeah, I had an issue breaking it down when I tried it in garden and noticed you had to make sure material was loose at top. It went up ok on the bank although one pole was tighter than the others, but it’s something I’ll check again when next out. Just assumed it may of needed a couple of goes. Didn’t realise this was a recall issue.
@@carpinglife ah right yeah I got in touch with avid and they've said they're aware of a material tension issue with some of the first batch and they're asking retailers to send stock back so they can quality check it in house before re distributing the new batch some time at the end of Jan / early Feb 😕 not sure if to wait for new batch and hope it's sorted or just get a fox frontier X
Hi Rob, mine was the same. Just wouldn't go up properly. And the seams splitting due to immense tension on that fabric. It's simply incorrectly produced. It's being collected on Tuesday by the tackle shop
Thanks for this video. Ive been on the fence about the avid and was leaning towards the pro logic slr because im 6ft 4 and thought the avid would be too low, but looks fine. Cheers
Got mine last week great price
Just orded the inner dome for mine
Did you catch pal?
Believe it or not mate I had a pb. 38.10 😂 lucky Bivvy
@@carpinglife Christ that's mega👍
No sound on video?
Do you ever remove the inner capsule and use the HD groundsheet instead?
If that’s a wideboy bedchair then I’m sold
Wideboy
You can get a wide boy in these pal...I use the indulgence ss4 wide and still have plenty of space for a chair and nash bank life bedside organiser...Great bivvy all round, no complaints so far and had it well over two years 👌🏻
What size is your bedchair fella?
Wide mate
Is this with the wide boy bed chair or a normal one
What bed you got on there mate ?.
Hi. Is it green or khaki color?
Hi. It is a green although after a year of use it has faded.
Hi mate. What bedchair have you got in the bivvy? I have a solar wide bedchair and struggling to find a bivvy apart from the tempest 150 which would comfortable fit the bedchair in.
Hi mate. That’s the Avid benchmark X Wide. You’ll have loads of room. Closest you’ll get to the 150 👍🏼
Hi thinking of getting one of these do you think I would fit 2 fox r2 beds in it?
Not really. Better off buying the utility front to go with it.
What are your thoughts on the bivvy now mate? I'm looking at the max head room version or the new fox frontier but not sure what to do
Hi mate. Yeah the frontier looks good. I absolutely love this MH. I’ve had it out in all weathers now. Super quick to put up, zip in groundsheet is fantastic in the winter. I’ve got the skull cap now. You get zero condensation with the vapour shield and nothing on the sides where the mozzie vents are. Fantastic shelter IMO
@@carpinglife Thanks for the reply mate! I rang cyprinius the other day and they would do the mh typhoon and overwrap for 549.99 which is fairly good considering they are made in the same factory as trakker haha
@@carpinglife I'm looking at getting this bivvy, but I'm torn between this version and the RIP stop material. Would you say the material on the standard is fairly strong and would last a long time?
@@iw496 hi mate. The material is very good. It’s similar to the Trakker aquatex. Had it for a few Months now in all weathers and it’s fantastic. The green is good colour too 👍🏼
@@carpinglife thanks, I cant get any serious answers from cyprinus so I had to try RUclips . Not too many videos but the one about setting it up makes it look like it's a bit of a pain to put up (considering its design is meant t to be for quick set up and pack down) and the secondary poles look flimsy 🤔🤔 Any thoughts. Does it fade like the trakker ones do? 👍👍
What's the head clearance like when sat on you're bed ?
Fantastic mate. Great bivvy
Been looking at these, thanks for the video, which lake is that please, im also looking for lakes I can park at the peg. Cheers
Sorry mate. Late reply. Jimmys lake new Milton
What is the cost of this tent . Looks very nice
I've been eyeing one of these up ready for the winter 🙂. How do you rate it ?
Very good. Although weather been good the times it’s been out. Brilliant option instead of the Trakker and more than enough room for sessions. I have the skull cap so next time I’m out I’ll do another vid. They are launching the cap wraps in November I believe.
@@carpinglife awesome cheers.ive subscribed to you channel so will check that out.
