I want to share with everyone something that I have discovered a while ago during my journey with Christ. Let me first preface this by saying a few things..... This may sound a bit offensive to some at first. I hope not, but it might. I say that because I too took offense when someone first mentioned this to me. Please reserve judgment for a bit and let me explain. It has to do with Bible translations. When I first began my walk with Christ, I was perplexed with the MANY different translations. I eventually settled on the NASB. It is the translation that a very well known and respected Pastor that I follow uses at his church, and one that is supposed to be among the “most literal translations”. Sounded good enough for me, so thats what I began using as my “go-to”. I also chose to compliment that with a NIV study Bible and a NKJV study Bible...... Now..... Fast forward a bit. One day I came across someone in my travels, and the topic of Bible translations came up. I quickly discovered that he was a member of the “dreaded” “King James Only” group. I had never come across this group before, and it honestly seemed a bit cultish to me at first. He began to tell me how all the “modern translations” had been corrupted and altered, and that the ONLY pure and true English translation was the King James. My response to him was something along the lines of..... “That’s ridiculous! There are a lot of legitimate translations. Many of them just have updated language that make it easier for a modern reader to understand” He went on to explain how even my beloved NASB and NIV (and many others) had been corrupted by unscrupulous translators and so forth. He continued, and said that even the New King James has been altered, and has dangerously changed Gods Truth. Ok..... So now I’m thinking that this guy must be crazy....... But I thought about it for a while. I then purposed in my heart that I wanted, above all else, the TRUTH. If what he was saying to me was actually true, I wanted to know about it, and it was worth the time it took me to find out! I decided to do some research on this topic. The short answer to what I discovered is that he was, in fact, CORRECT! There is a lot of VERY compelling evidence that the modern translations are, in part, corrupt and HAVE BEEN altered in a way that absolutely DOES NOT honor God, specifically attacking the Deity of Jesus Christ, His sinless perfection, The Trinity, and many other critical areas of Christian doctrine. To quote Matthew 13:28 “an enemy hath done this” Now I’m not going to try to convince you of this. But I do want to DESPERATELY URGE you to diligently take the time to look into this. Don’t brush this off as I almost did! Purpose it in your heart to seek Gods truth in this matter, no matter where it takes you! I promise you, it WILL BE worth it! I STRONGLY urge you to get and read the book “51 Reasons Why The King James: A Path From Doubt To Faith” by David W. Daniels. Seriously, everyone needs to read this book!!! It’s only $4.99 for the Kindle version on Amazon! About $17 with shipping if you want the paperback. **Also, MUST READ “New Age Bible Versions: An Exhaustive Documentation of the Message, Men & Manuscripts Moving Mankind to the Antichrist's One World Religion “ by G. A. Riplinger. ** It WILL change your mind!!!!! These books offer TONS of COMPELLING evidence to the King James Only stance! I can now say, without reservation, I am unapologetically a member of the King James Only group. After seeing the evidence in favor of that position, I can’t in good conscience go back. I just can’t. At times, I literally felt sick to my stomach as I saw how some passages of the modern translations have been altered, and the implications that those changes have. In the same way that when I came to know Christ, I felt compelled to tell others about the gospel, I now feel absolutely compelled to share this information with my brothers and sisters in Christ. This is SO IMPORTANT because there is SO MUCH error in people’s theology and it is being perpetuated by CORRUPT translations. On a side note, I used to think the King James was difficult to read. It absolutely is not! It’s beautiful, and I have never felt closer to Jesus during my Bible time, then I do while reading from The King James! Kindly consider my words. I hope this reaches each of you well! It WILL change your mind!!!!!

Well brother, Cardinal Gibbons agrees with you. We can't really know what God said. “But even when you are assured that the Bible contains the Word of God, and nothing but the Word of God, how do you know that the translation is faithful? The Books of Scripture were originally written in Hebrew and Greek, and you have only the translation. Before you are certain that the translation is faithful you must study the Hebrew and Greek languages, and then compare the translation with the original. How few are capable of this gigantic undertaking!” The Faith of Our Fathers by James Cardinal Gibbons page 80 of the 73rd edition. It appears that the Lord's Messenger has a different opinion. “Man is fallible, but God’s Word is infallible.” Selected Messages Book One page 416. I presume you know what "infallible" means when you say that the pope claims infallibility? How many mistakes in a "the Bible" does it take to make you lose confidence in God's Word? “It is a terrible thing to lose faith in God or in his word. Unbelief strengthens as it is encouraged. There is danger in even once giving expression to doubt; a seed is sown which produces a harvest of its kind. Satan will nourish the crop every moment.” Spirit of Prophecy volume 4 page 349. Let me know what "the Bible" in the world at this time in English contains no error at all. You only get one and not more than one from which you pick and choose. I have asked quite a few people to do this and no one yet has taken me up on it. You could be the first. If you don't think there is any bible in the world without error, at least don't tell people they should believe every thing in any bible because that would make you a liar. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, NO ONE has the original autographs of anything written by Moses, Jeremiah or any other author of Scripture.

God has definitely delivered me from trouble so many times. There was one time where I was riding my bicycle on the sidewalk, and I saw another bike riding toward me. I tried moving out the way, but we both were so close that I was sure we would crash into each other and we would fall. But, almost like magic, my bike just sort of passed right through the other bike and we didn't crash. Maybe we were just inches apart, but I was sure we should've crashed. I knew I should have hit him, at least with my leg or the pedal. It just felt like my bike and I went through his bike like air. Anyway, I count that as a miracle.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has journeyed with me through the story of Job. I learned even more about God's care and love for His children in preparing for this series. I pray it is a blessing to everyone who hears it.

I think of all the prayers I've prayed over my few short years on planet earth. They've all been answered. Maybe not the way I wanted or thought, but I remember how amazingly God has answered the prayers I prayed which where less about me, more about someone else, and definitely brought glory to God. One prayer was for a young boy, about 6 or 7 when I was in Cambodia. His mother had brought him to us hoping we, the Christians, could provide healing. He hadn''t been able to urinate and was in quite severe pain. I said a simple prayer for this boy and his mother in my fairly limited Khmer. Thankfully the U.S. Army was at a nearby military base and it was decided to take him there as American medical team was seeing Cambodians. While they were able to provide the full cure, I know my faith and this mother's hope brought the boy, who was in agony, relief from that pain while going to and waiting to see those doctors.

The fact that it all flows seamlessly is proof it was written as a play! God's word, His laws are inside us where men can't alter.

I'm amazed how everytime I read the Bible there are new things to learn not only about God, but about myself. Even when I read familiar passages of Scripture I find something new. With those new insights, I realize I am changed, no longer the same person I was before reading them. I wonder if others experience the Bible the same way I do.

The type of life we are living reveals much about our concepts of God's character. When we live for self, no matter how loudly we proclaim Christ, we are merely showing that Satan is our model for life. Jesus is the only model to follow and hope for selflessness in this world and the world to come.
