Matthew 23:1-36; Matthew 5:23

It is very apparent that you are not a Christian as you claim to be or would not have told such a blatant lie about the burial wrapping of the body. When looking inside the tomb the Bible states very plainly that the burial cloth was folded and laying and the napkin that was wrapped around the head was folded and laying apart by itself. Of course if you have the head wrapped in a napkin then you can't have direct imprint on the shroud . You have the body being wrapped in the shroud as though it were standing upright, how else could the hair be hanging straight down inline with the body. The fingers were obviously drawn with a straight edge as completely stiff with no joints. Rigger mortis leaves the body after a few hours then the fingers would have been relaxed. This looks like more Catholic lunacy _. .

[Phl 2:5-11 ESV] 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

It was a great message and sermon this morning ! Just a friendly reminder for us All to live out as we make our way through this life and journey. We are to love one another ! We love because Christ first loved us. How can one go through life not knowing what God has in store for each of us ! I tell you now, once you find Christ in your hearts , I promise you, you will never turn back to your Old ways of life ! You will find a new purpose for each day you live. Haven't you ever wondered about Why you are born here on earth? I can assure you that the answer is in the Scripture ! I said to you before, lay your treasures above not on the things here on earth which are wasting away. This means our bodies too. The only truth and living hope there is, is found in our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior and redeemer! I encourage you to start reading in the New Testament with Matthew to Revelation in reverse order. Then Genesis to Malici. Please don't forget to share God's word and love with others. Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV): 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Psalm 62:5-6 (ESV): 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (ESV): 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Mark 12:31 (ESV): 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Know matter what happens this year and every year that passes, God is in control. He knows all and Sees all. Nothing happens that is Not supposed to happen. Go to Him in prayer. Not only for yourselves but pray for others as well. We would definitely be living in a different and better world if people did more of this daily ! All you have to do is take a look at what's happening in the world including the town or city you live in. This is what a society looks like when you take prayer out of schools and live in a Godless and twisted generation. Nowadays people think that they themselves are gods on how they live their lives. This is how we communicate with Him, by our prayers. Don't forget to share. Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): 22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Isaiah 5:20 (ESV): 20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! The Real Work Of Christmas When the festivities end, the family and friends return home, and all the decorations removed, when the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the shepherds are back with the flocks, we may think it is time to put Christmas away, too…at least until next year. But that is when, the “real work of” Christmas should begin. The work of taking the hope and joy the love that Jesus brings and using it to heal the broken spirit, provide for the needy, bring peace among all peoples, and share light into the darkness, every day, in every way, in all that we do and in all that we say. The real work of the season begins! Amen If this spoke to you in any way, don't forget to share it with family and friends and anyone that could use some encouragement. This morning's sermon is a powerful one and to be remembered is a must watch for all of you. As you face trials in your lives, look to Jesus and He will be your strength through it all ! Lisa and I look to Jesus as we face our hardtimes. We don't say this for you to feel sorry for us, but that you know that our strength comes from the Lord. We know that in this life there are going to trials. We know the end game for our lives. It is well with our soul. In this life that we live here there is a true Hope and true Contentment only found in Jesus Christ. There is no other! Rest and reflect on these verses throughout the week and Don't forget to share this !! Philippians 2:13 (ESV): 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 4:10-13 (ESV): 10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV): 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Romans 15:13 (ESV): 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

It is that time again to put up the tree and shop like mad to get gifts for each other. Better yet that you can all get together and share great foods, family and friends. These are the gifts, grace and blessings from our Father's love for us. Today's message is a good reminder for all of us. Know matter what the trial or hard times you are afflicted with or our family and friends God sees all and knows all. Reach out to Him in prayer not only in time of need, but during good times as well. There are thousands of things to pray for and give thanks for. I mentioned a few above. Rejoice always in the Lord in season and out of season. Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV): 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. James 1:2-6 (ESV): 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. Matthew 11:28-29 (ESV): 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. And please don't forget to share the Good news of the Gospel message !

Today's sermon is about giving and receiving and to give generously. Everything we have is from God. His grace is on us and out of love He takes care of our basic needs according to His will. This is why we are called to tithe to your church and give to others who are in need. This is called laying your treasures on the things above not on the earth, which is passing away. That is love my friend, that is love ! And please don't forget to share some of God's truth. 1 Chronicles 29:12-14 (ESV): 12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 13 And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. 14 “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (ESV): 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 8:2-3 (ESV): 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, Philippians 4:15 (ESV): 15 And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV): 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

As you take a look around out there, there is lots to be thankful for and a lot of people out there that need our prayers and support. May this new year before us be rich with love, kindness, forgiveness and thoughtfulness. Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. With this kind of attitude, how could you not be a blessing to others? I promise you that, if you seek to do what I mentioned above, your life will be more purposeful ! We care for one another and but serve each other in different ways. You can fill in whatever you want. I encourage each one of you to do this for the year before you. Also if you don't have a church family I would recommend that you find one and get involved ! I promise you that it would be the best decision you have made this year and years to come ! We all have gifts that God has given each one of us. Yes you do have gifts ! Some of you may not even know that you have them! This morning's sermon is a great one. As well it is the Lord's table or communion. So we take part in this the first week of each month. Romans 10:17 (ESV): 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:18 (ESV): 18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. John 3:18 (ESV): 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. Romans 1:16 (ESV): 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” This verse speaks of God’s transformative power. He promises to replace our hardened hearts with hearts that are soft and receptive to His will. It is through this new heart that we can have a fresh start in our relationship with God. John 3:3 (ESV): 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus tells Nicodemus that in order to experience new life and enter into His kingdom, one must be spiritually born again. This emphasizes the need for a new birth and a fresh start through faith in Christ. I want to ask each one of you. Are you trusting in Jesus Christ today? We are all perishing each second of the day ! Those of you that are not trusting in Him you will perish and be separated from Him for eternity ! I am saying this because it is an important decision we have to make sooner rather than later. As long as you have a heartbeat you can believe and come to Christ. If you don't there is No hope for you once you die, then comes judgment. I love you and I just wanted for you to understand why this is so crucial that you know this and take action! Not only for you but your family and friends as well.

Brother Richard's message is a great reminder of what to look for in a church and worshiping with others. It is not about the programs they have or daycare or how big and showy or have long robes in the church or if it has a band or entertainment. If it doesn't exalt Christ this is not a true church. It is about the Cross speaking of the true message of the teachings of the Gospel. If it doesn't teach or preach nothing of the cross and how sinful we are and the need for a Savior ! The true Christian and Church of Jesus Christ is why people around the world are persecuted and hated because of His name. He went to the Cross for you and I and others around the world because of our Sins. He provided a way to redeem us from sin. He came to save sinners. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. Now this is very important for you to understand. Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. I realize God has treated me with undeserved grace, and so I tell each of you not to think you are better than you really are. Your religion won't save you, Buddha won't save you, a priest won't save you and mother Mary won't save you. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can save you from eternal wrath and punishment. John 14:6 (ESV): 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 1 Timothy 4:1-3 (ESV): 4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 1 John 4:1 (ESV): 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
