I am trying to reduce my TBR which is every growing and way more gigantic than I expected! Lets read some books and tackle this TBR! It feels good to finally get to some of these popular books that have been sitting on my shelves for SO LONG!

What books do you recommend?
That’s a very broad question so I’ll do my best! A few books that I have really enjoyed recently are Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, as well as The Heartless Hunter! I also absolutely loved Carrie Soto is Back! And I just finished Tress of the Emerald Sea and it was so whimsical ✨ those are just a few but all of my book reviews are on my goodreads if you are curious for more ❤️✨ hope that helps!

I've heard many talk about young adult becoming super weird with the amount of spice that they add to those books as someone who doesn't read spice i used to go for young adult books but now i gotta research each book
Yea unfortunately that seems to be the way it’s going. I’m hoping that more people talking about it will give the YA authors more pause when writing spice into a YA book. But I 100% agree that researching a book before hand is a good option for now 🙏🏽❤️

Also for discovery of witches I always feel like the first 100ish pages (depending on the edition) are a bit slower and take longer and then suddenly reading it just goes super quick (I've read the trilogy 4 or 5 times) 😊

So the first book was great! I was so excited to buy the second one but, once i did, i really couldnt get into it. In the first books Lou had actual character, was funny, and had serious personality. In the second book, it all disappeared and she was an INSUFFERABLE character! I couldnt stop myself from skimming the rest of the book just to see if it could get any better and really reid was a pushover and was head over heels for a girl that was ruining his life, really, and she caused so much damage that everyone just up and forgave her for once she went all "aww im so sorry whats wrong with me!??! *sob sob sob*" i dont want to read the 3rd one because the series just kinda fell off after serpant and dove.

I’m in a terrible reading slump. I only read 3 books last month and nothing this month. I keep picking up books but they just don’t do it and I have looked everywhere for this book I want to read for free but it isn’t available and I don’t have enough money to buy it.
I’m so sorry, being in a reading slump is terrible especially when you have a certain book in mind and can’t get it! Make sure you are utilizing your local library and Libby, as well as used book websites and BookBub can also tell you when a book goes on sale! Even seeing if you could borrow it from someone 🥲 also make sure to not be hard on yourself about how much you are reading, it’s okay to fluctuate in your reading habits and you are still a reader no matter what ❤️❤️❤️ best of luck to you 📚🥰✨

Yes! I just read Carrie Soto is back by Taylor Jenkins Reid and really enjoyed that one! I also just started A Discovery of witches and I believe it’s single POV and it’s good so far! That is more of a fall vibe!
Love this, I love reading at my own pace. Everyone is on a different reading journey and we should just accept our pace and enjoy our time on these adventures ❤

Its hard when you don't like a popular book because the people who are diehards can make you feel like you shouldn't get to have an opinion on the book and thats why i mostly stay away from popular books.
Yea that is understandable and I feel like we should read what actually sounds interesting to us and not just read what everyone else says we should! Sometimes books are popular for a reason but most of the time, people should just read what interests them regardless of popularity ❤️📚✨

Yes!!! Gotta keep it real 📚😂 I feel like it can be so intimidating to see people who are able to read 200-500 pages a day but that’s just not realistic most of the time!
