Very thought provoking. I have so many questions! If to love and be other-centered is the focus, what are we to say of the life choice rules-that are more impactful on the lives of others than a muddy dress? I’ve experienced negative consequences to my breaking of the Christian or Bible rules and now I do find myself focusing on the rules in proactive protection of my life. I understand the part where our critical thinking comes in, but I guess I don’t see where the line is between “I’m doing what I feel like” and “I’m doing the right thing.” And what would you say about 1 Peter where yes-he indeed teaches loving each other, but also lists the rules. I’m going to give this a second viewing.
