For Coffee Crafters fluid bed roasters this is one way if you don't know how to use an ohmmeter to check the heat potentiometer using the StellarBeans Automation Kit. I've seen cases where the potentiometers develop dead spots over time. This is a way to test. Hey guys. I see someone else is selling this kit now. I have a small fluidbed roaster that i would like to tinker with. I got the yoctopuce electronics from a friend of mine and i bought some powercables etc. Is there a video of some sort showing how to set it all up? Im new to this and i would appreciate any help thanks.

So this kit just adjusts the air only ?
It adjusts the heat control. Air is still manual. If you pay close attention to the roaster during the video you’ll see how little I interact with the loft (air). The servo is on the heat pot.
@@bjackson1975 my roasters are just built differently, not used to having to play with the heat control maybe once a roast cycle, mostly adjust the air twice during the roast , higher at first dump , then after about 2 minutes lower it , walk away , come back around 8 minutes to check the last 2 minutes of the roast for 1C or 2C whatever you aiming for. Take care.
@@roastedright Sounds good. This set up is of course not targeting your roaster. This is for Coffee Crafters fluid bed roasters. This approach isn’t about heat control necessarily it is about creating individual Roast profiles that can be shared and followed. Best wishes on your venture

Would it be possible to set something like this up for the Xe model? I'm looking to automate one of their units to some degree
I may be late to the reply but this works on all Coffee Crafters Roasters with a heat pot. Including the XE
