Can only a dehydrator be used to dry the sludge? You say that the filter press and belt press create very little dryness? can you give us. How much energy does the dehydrator use to dry 1m3 of sludge?
We use about 300kWh to remove about a ton of water from the sludge cake. Our customer in KY processes 15%DS cake from belt press to about 40 to 45%DS
we have sludge from palm oil processing waste. the sludge has a moisture content of 80% and we want to convert it ro 30%. wheter your tool can help us..

I think it is better to compare with mechanical pressure filtration systems such as plate-and-frame filter rather than thermal dryers. As I am concerning, which one is better? They seems quite similar, either input and output solid content, which one should I choose.
Equipment like filter presses, belt presses, etc. dewater sludge by mechanical force. ELODE acts as a complementary "second stage" sludge dehydrator. For example, a belt press might dewater sludge from 2% dry solids content to 15%DS. ELODE will further dry the 15%DS sludge cake to 45%DS.
still no match to Thermal dryers. I landed on this page while looking for alternative for 98% DS drum dryer system. @@ElodeUSA
what is the ideal percent solids that enters the unit?
For typical municipal wastewater treatment sludge cake, around 15% dry solids content. But there are many factors that affect the ideal %DS, such as the conductivity of the sludge cake and other characteristics.
