Yeah, doing this qualification in uneven terrain is difficult. It’s definitely asking for AGL so make sure you set your altimeter to the correct pressure altitude. Good luck on the next attempt and let me know when you pass.

You are right, that is a quick way to get into that awesome airframe. In my personal life, I don't do loans or credit so I guess that carries over into the way I'm approaching my Neofly career. Thanks for the comment and clear skies to you.

I’ve personally never experienced that situation. Maybe try the discord site for suggestions or start a topic to get some help from the group. I hate you are dealing with that and hopefully you find a solution soon.

@@dadpiratesim Nothing game breaking by any means. Cargo and passenger weight are hit and miss if its correct on neo and in game. I'll load up the required weights and sometime it won't show it. I was just curious. Thanks man.

Just a tip, I always manage the weight in MSFS to get the weight and balance correct. This way it’s distributed correctly for a good CG on takeoff and at landing after we burn off some fuel.

Yeah, rookie mistake for sure. I need more seat time in this airframe to get proficient with the avionics.

No, you can only stack missions that you will fly.

@@dadpiratesim - Ahh, thanks. Yeah, I had seen they have FBO's now too, and I was hoping that the dispatcher function would keep my AI pilots flying without me having to choose missions, etc., but as yet the dispatcher evidently doesn't do any actual dispatching at all; still has to be done by the player.

You can sort the missions for distance and if you pick the longest that is still within the weight and seats for the aircraft, it will pay the most. Then your aircraft is gone for several hours without you having to mess with it.

@@dadpiratesim - Well, I live in Texas, so pretty much any airport here would be wide open. I'm about to go for my class C certification, and I'm currently at KAUS, so that'll probably be where I do it. Nice and wide open spaces, with long runways.

I’m in North Carolina and I haven’t flown very much in mountainous terrain in real life. That is probably why I find myself enjoying flying in those areas in MSFS because it’s a new challenge and the scenery is different than what I experience when I fly in real life. ​@@dadpiratesim - Thanks! passed the Class C earlier this morning. I started flying in NeoFly out of my home field (KTKI) near Dallas, took a loan, bought a TBM and hired a Star Wars character to fly it for me to earn my money back. It's my favorite plane in the sim to fly, especially with the flight model and working title mods applied to it. As an aside, I too am technically a real world pilot, though I haven't flown since the late 90's, the point at which my son was born and I was forbid to fly anymore by my (ex) wife. These days, I can't reasonably afford it, so MSFS is about all the fun I get anymore!

As long as what product you buy is cheaper than what you can sell it for, it’s make you a profit. If you right click and compare markets the software automatically gives you how much profit you will make. If it helps, right it all down on paper as you do it and then compare the numbers after you have sold the products. I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy the trader missions.

That’s an awesome comment, I didn’t even think about that. All I need is an airliner to fly over and it would have been the same.

I have not experienced that before and I did some searching online to see if it was a common issue. I couldn’t find any other examples of the dispatcher voice not talking during missions. I would check your sound settings and open up volume mixer when you have Neofly running to make sure the volume is up high enough. Let me know if you find the fix since it may help others.

make sure u have the Software tips in the flight simulator enabled (Settings -> Assistance options -> sofware tips -> ON)

You sometimes have to search several airports to find a buyer. Typically they Neofly doesn’t put a buyer right next to an airport that is selling it.

Yes, you can use Neofly without MSFS running as long as you don’t want to take control and fly any of the missions. You can hire pilots and have them fly missions with just Neofly running.

No, I didn’t approach these tips videos from a novice perspective. I think Neofly does a pretty good job with the documentation on their website at explaining the basics. I am mainly doing videos on stuff that I have figured out through using it and experimenting. Keep using Neofly, it’s an intuitive software so just keep clicking and trying things and you will be expert soon. Thanks for the feedback!

I completely agree, the main reason I started using Neofly is because it challenged me to fly in random areas and airports. I think Neofly has done a good job of tailoring their software for entry level pilots as well as more experienced pilots. I have to admit, I miss the drop zone missions and flying them in Papua New Guinea where there is a very few areas to land.

how did you do this? I really want to do this as to not have to mess with the qualification missions too much.

I appreciate the feedback. As the old rule of piloting goes; Aviate, Navigate, Communicate. Flying in an unfamiliar aircraft, at an unfamiliar airport with terrain obstacles and doing a new qualification mission definitely caused me to process slower and communicate less and unfortunately that came across in the video (I cringed too during the replay). I’m getting over a cold from the kiddos so I’m assuming that is why you heard more of that. I’m using my aviation headset that has a foam wind blocker on the mic but I’ll check different positions to keep the unwanted noises to a minimum.

You do not have to purchase anything. I’m doing all of this with Neofly’s free download and the Airbus H135 free mod download. I recommend donating or buying the add-on’s for Neofly to support them since they are doing a fantastic job with this software. Thanks for the feedback and question and enjoy your flight!

@@Dutchvandude Yes, you to add it as a new aircraft within Neofly and then buy it in the marketplace. My H135 is valued at $1.7 million to give you an idea on how much you need to save up. Also, you can buy aircraft and have them flown by hired pilots without being qualified for them.

As of version 3.8, this was in the changelog on Neofly's website. I haven't tried the new qualifications yet but I am very curious so I will put this on my to-do list. Thank you all for the heads up!! - Improved Qualification Mission - You now pass a qualification on a single airport and you have to follow instructor guidance

@@dadpiratesim So I just do what the instructions say after I take off? I did that and it gave me instruction to climb to 3000 feet and stay on course. I did that for like an hour and didn't give me any other instruction that entire time. I thought I was going to run out of fuel. But I appreciate the help.

As you saw, it definitely caught me by surprise when it happened. I then remembered that you can’t fly under bridges either so stay away from bridges. Unfortunately I self insure in Neofly once I have double the amount of my aircraft value in my bank account. The only exception to that is I’m insuring the A320neo that I bought recently.
