Just got done filling their pans. Corn , sweet feed and apples. I left before they came in. I saw them yesterday evening and the little 9 pointer that I call buck is looking a little better. He was really run down. I really happy that he made it through hunting season. I agree. In my opinion, the most beautiful thing in the wild is a spotted fawn. My favorite video that I have posted is the slideshow of the Whitetail Triplets. If you get a chance check it out. Winter sure is tough on them. Years ago I found two small deer skeletons side by side where they starved to death. Most likely their mother got killed in doe season. This was his first set of antlers . He was a little nine point. He is really run down. I sure hope he makes it through this winter. I saw him this evening January 5th and he has lost the other one. He is really run down. I sure hope he makes it through winter . I didn’t see him this evening. But I put out some extra corn and apples . I saw a little buck about two weeks ago that had already shed one antler. I have a gallon of molasses ordered. I was going to put a little on their corn in hopes to give them more energy to make it through this long winter. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
