scene inspired by an excerpt of a poem by Iranian poet and film director Forough Farrokhzaad (1934-1967):

and I'll paste dahlia leaves

Make I mad😂
now THIS i can do
This short changed my day and motivates me❤
"so let's get this straight before it is too late, I can't wait not to think about you" the irony hits so hard, I love this song and I love Molly, what a shame she never released it..
I feel the same, that's why I uploaded it. Still can't believe she never released it - it's so special - in any form except in the original (and unavailable) compilation. One day, I hope.
Esse vídeo é legal😂😂
This is so totally beautiful it brings tears to my eyes (on Christmas Day too...)
When she sings: "And I will try not think about you, and If I cry I don't cry about you" it hits really hard ngl

Great track
Vai troppo rapido
Exactly what I needed. I want to stop thinking about her, and I really hope she doesn't think about me haha. That chorus caught me off guard because that spoke to the inner-depths of what I secretly desired from that person too.
There's one where he picks her back up again, cuz she keeps dragging him down n' it keeps going and they go into the woods a little bit, then he just drops her and leaves her there. It's also very satisfying...sorta. But leaves one empty. What a brilliant artist Garrel was. 🎨
...there's also an amazing version of this on outlander where Jamie drops this beautiful little Bully of a woman in a mud puddle for acting a fool... but then she asks for his help and he delivers beautiful and heartfelt for her... but had to on the sneaks simply because of everyone having so much to say about everyone else back then...//
Dadaist trash at its finest.

Still love it ;)
Thank you Molly for always getting me through the day

I still.think about him..
Didn’t know anything about Trisha, but this video in the Tate dungeons opened a door last month: total inspiration. Thx for upload. Her phrasing is exquisite; her movements so fluid, even if her hips are quite static -such a departure from Cunningham.
Just have to remind myself this existence isn't forever. I will reap the benefits of nonexistence one day. That will be a good day indeed.
Всё идет по плану
I broke up with my gf recently and I find solace in this song
Is that intended that the tune copies the iconic Russian punk-rock song "I vsyo idet po planu" by Egor Letov?
To be honest, I had no idea who Egor Letov or Grazhdanskaya Oborona were, and I guess that must be the norm outside ex-Soviet states. (I liked the song and I am reading some interesting things about the Soviet punk scene, thank you for that.) But I can see the resemblance, at least in the first part, although I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s a copy - it seems to me they’re different enough to have been created independently. But this is the only Molly Nilsson’s song I know that’s not part of an album, and I never read a line about it, so maybe there was an intentional connection with Grazhdanskaya Oborona’s song, I don’t know. I’d love it nevertheless, as I love many covers (which it definitely is not).
yeah that song is similar to egor letov's. but you can't blame molly about that situation. because molly nilsson is a true artist. she never copy or steal a thing. there is a lot of songs are familiar to another one. i think that one is just a coincidence.
Worst thing I've ever seen. Could only watch for couple of minutes.
И всё идёт по плану.
Ja, das stimmt...
Beautiful! Reminds me of 2011's Hey Moon by John Maus ruclips.net/video/Av5Jb52yFBo/видео.html
Actually, Hey Moon is an original song by Molly Nilsson, the one by John Maus (who I like very much) is a cover - with back vocals by Molly :)

is there a way to get a clearer copy of this? thanks

It's 2020 mid first and second covid wave, the "is he handsome" is a sample from pride and prejudice, just noticed because the movie was released in Netflix again
🖤
This poor woman will never find her shoes. She's way too disorganized.
seems like just a bunch of movements without theme--didn't watch whole thing though
She is pivotal in shaping moderb dance world. Transforming how we see form in movement, she took everyday mundane gestures and extended it until it created a cohesive structure. There is no "theme" to it, it exists as a fluid moving sculpture
I have no idea why this satisfied me
Can someone tell me what this performance is about? What does it mean? Thanks.
It's in the title. It is a very exact sequence of movements but it is flowing and simple-seeming that you could easily miss it without the slow replay. It's about itself, that is, the beauty of the everyday movement it embodies.
@@billcook6866 Bill you put that so beautifully. Couldn't have said it better. A bit of the artist's (Babette Mangolte) intention are written here www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/mangolte-trisha-brown-water-motor-t14764
I just love this, the silence really does it
... brillant
Gosh, she’s gorgeous
I figured out the story- a poor woman gets her limbs chopped off in a horrible motor boat incident and then gets them sewn back on and films herself moving for the first time in 20 years.
You. Win. The. Internet. This is one of the most ballsy, hilarious takedowns ever. Underneath your comment is the idea that if a performing artist has to explain what they're doing, the communication between artist and audience is already broken. If a dance needs an explanation, in this case a slow motion replay, that explanation ends up being part of the dance itself, and ends up overtaking the performance . When a dance has an accompanying explanation, or a slow motion replay attached, it's already an artistic compromise. The dancer has technical prowess, but what does the dance mean?
It took a lot of practice to look that spontaneous.

Perfect dance art in Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari (Italy) yesterday by Trisha Brown Dance Company!
Such a beautiful song, warms my broken heart.
Excellent! 👻
lyrics please
I'm sure there are some mistakes, I hope somebody will correct me. I've had so much to do So I don't think about you I'm seeing all my friends We never talk about you Another fall Will I ever learn not to fall? How I wish could call And say: babe, let's forget about it all So let's get it straight Before it's too late I can't wait not to think about you I hope you don't think about me too 'Cause I don't think about you I hope you don't think about me too I'm staring at the wall And I don't think about you All the dreams that we shared are gone but I don't care This song on all night long would take me anywhere But I don't drink and type on late sunday night I know it isn't right but I needed you that night And I will try not to think about you And if I cry I don't cry about you So let's get it straight Before it's too late I can't wait not to think about you I hope you don't think about me too 'Cause I don't think about you I hope you don't think about me too
