It seems funny to me that Activision + CoD have gone to the level of researching whether changing hitboxes and bullet dmg IN-GAME will make them more money; but the Overwatch community BARELY talks about SBMM more aptly named Engagement-Optimized Matchmaking, and the idea that games are simply rigged. I think it says it all in the sentence I just heard you read, "There are more players in these ranks than we think there ought to be" Who cares how many people you think there ought to be? Who are you??? They got the rank they deserve based on the game's current state. Instead of focusing on ranks how about you focus on balance 🤣

this whole video just comes off as a cope, its annoying to get deranked but if you play more you will get to your rank again in a few hours. 3:15 you are goofy, dont blame teamates because you cant rank up, people have bad games sometimes but that doesnt mean they dont belong in the same lobby as you. Also the matchmaker works off mmr not the visual rank, so the enemy team also likely had someone who was a similar rank.

people in some discord servers im in think im coping and crying when i say that most of the losses i get are forced but every time without fail when i post a screenshot they give some stupid brainwashed counter argument. like the proof is RIGHT THERE and their "counter argument" is posting win streaks with their 5 stack from lord knows how many seasons ago. now, im a solo player so i experience the one sided matches more than most people and i FEEL every loss because a lot of the time there's seriously only so much 1 guy can do and typing in chat does work wonders because a majority of the time nobody is in vc anyway. rank resets will forever be pointless if they dont RESET THE MMR because you're gonna be getting, like you said, low silver/high gold in your high plat/low diamond games just to have the game put you back many, many notches. its sad to see people just ignoring the obvious things wrong with the game just because they dont understand anything about anything

Me and a few friends (3 stack) are ~top10-400, one world cup player, one ranked grinder, and I a coach, I can't stress enough how every-time there was a rank reset there was ALWAYS one person on our team that would end massively negative even if we would be winning our matches. These reset have only ever favored any accounts I don't normally play on, with them getting upwards of 180% rank in diamond-masters after placements. Where as accounts that were grandmasters or higher would have a much more difficult time ranking up in comparison, still a bonus but only to the extent of around 40%. Champion we assumed at the time was made because the amount of people who would get to ~Grandmaster 2 in I forget what season was extremely high, so high we at the time compared it to masters from ow1. We also thought that they would be giving everyone a FULL MMR reset during season 9, really bummed me out as I remember logging in to play only to play against people we have played with multiple times just with a different rank, which is not at all the same as an SR reset. It is wild to me that years ago I had to drop what was my ow1 main account because of decay, only to pick it back up again because it now defaults to a higher rank than my ow2 main account for a similar system.

The thing about the matchmaking is so true like I had games where the lobby is suddenly Plat-Masters 4 😭 Also I feel like there shouldn't really be a "reset" this season if majority will end up with the same rank or a rank below or a rank above as it feels unrewarding in the end.

I don't haven't played rank in since before season 9 so I am about to be hit with a double decay. Diamond down to gold or even silver here I come baby.

They made things soo bad dude. I"m m5 playing against fellow m5 who were ALL GM5/4 in s8 before the rank reset same as my account its insane, ive tried just spamming games hoping it would take me out of this weird Q but hasn't happened I've abandoned that account lmfao but hasn't gone well. I've tried 2 alts from OW1 and played a decent bit of games on them but I just get put into a similar smurf Q and its really hard to climb, practically every game im facing a 1-3 smurfs who are usually stacking. IDk games also not fun so haven't played a lot of games so thats probably part of the issue I've played like maybe 50 games in smurf Q last season but still enough youd think id be in normal lobbies.

You got the rank adjustments completely wrong, it isn’t just lowering everyone’s ranks, it gave you a new rank depending on your old rank and how well you did in your placement games

The main problem with overwatch is not addressing the problems fast enough. Dva meta during the weekly update era would be delt with in 1 or 2 patches we had to wait a month for what may or may not be a solid dva nerf. What has caused most of the metas over the years was slow responses on patches that fucked up like the current juno changes making her op my bad hope you like nothing but Juno for the next 4 weeks.

Basically yeah I agree although with juno after her first buffs she was good enough to run just didnt do any damage from her pistol just healbotted but now she is more versatile and with Dva still being god shes very good and sombra after the nerfs from her overtuned buffs is good but wont delete squishies every time just sometimes if ur isolated without major cooldowns

I uses to be able to play Competitive in the beginning , but my Wi-Fi is just trash and there more lag in Competitive then it is in Quick play 🥲 am seen as a try-hard in that game mode

I hit top500 on Zen this season and top100 on Doom in open queue. I like this season and Sombra is definitely not overpowered in high elo

If you had any other tank (excluding maybe doom) you would’ve been flamed. Lucky for you, Ball (and doom) have the best movement in the tank role, so they can rely on packs rather than you. Otherwise, good job.

I have a question. So if im a console player using cross-play and i only play QP by myself, do i still have aim assist? Or will i have no aim assist? I heard that if you have crossplay and play quickplay, you will keep your aim assist even if you're solo. While if you're playing competitive, your aim assist is turned off. But idk if it's true
