I will be posting a series of videos about good mental and physical health. I will often employ the perspectives of the Stoic philosophers. #mentalhealth #meaningoflife #stoicism
You have a fantastic eye for spotting the interesting and unusual! The animals love you! You provide profound wisdom! Amazing!
Thank you. Most kind.
Will you consider covering philosophical areas that may aid one in managing mental health? The last portion of this video gave some insight and I would love to see more!
Thank you for your question and comment. Most definitely! One area I am thinking of is how Stoic philosophy informs modern-day Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, so I may do something on that. Future videos will be longer so that I can cover topics in depth.
Great informative video 🎉
Thank you!
Absolutely sensational! Best walk around the Botanic Gardens and discussion of several philosophical topics I have ever seen.
Wow, thank you!
Fasting an interesting idea, but hard to stick with 🤔
I recommend to people to give it a try for two weeks. Often these people have suffered severe fatigue for several years and nothing else has worked, so they feel motivated to try innovative approaches. Everything in moderation.
Some fabulous scenery! Really look forward to your future videos.
Thank you! Please keep watching!
Wow, you are showing all the nicest spots of Spore. Well done. You can be a film director 😅😅😅
Most kind! Thanks very much.
I strongly agreed with you lack of exercise will make you feel tiredness.
Movement is life!
Solid advice, weather looks very hot there
Whether handling unreasonable people or hot tropical climes, one should always pace oneself :)
Well done Martin. The little ant is so cool 😅
Took hours to train that ant!! :)
Good reminder to take a step back and breathe in the fast-paced life we have in the city!
Nice to see peaceful scenes
Life in Singapore is so hectic that we don't have time even to appreciate the greenery surrounding us. Watching this video makes me realise I should take time to appreciate.
Stunning! I want to visit Singapore!
Definitely worth a visit! In addition to the regular tourist sites, do go off the beaten track. I will be doing one or two more videos showing different parts of Singapore from the perspective of looking for greenery and calmness.
Good advice i hope those univercity students will follow up👍. Regarding the accommodation, in Holland shortage of rooms and most of the students have to stay with their parants.
Thank you for your comment. It is an increasing trend in the UK for students to live at home due to the cost-of-living crisis. The day when students underwent a rite of passage into independent adulthood in leaving the parental nest has passed for many students. Coupled with the effects of online education at home during Covid and so lack of socialisation, the educational ramifications will be with us for many years to come.
Beautiful scenery 😮
Indeed!
Sound practical advice
Very kind. Thank you.
Wonderful tour! You show some interesting parts of Oxford which are not on the regular tourist map. And great advice - my youngest is going to uni this October so I will definitely show this video to her. Thanks.
Thank you. There is a lot more I could show of Oxford and may do so in a future video. Best wishes to your youngest!
Only one Step needed Trust & believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with all your Heart❤🙏 🙏
Thank you for your comment.
I don't see how that helps. I don't even know the guy.
Sensible advice, interesting to hear about the block universe concept🤔
Thank you! There will be plenty more interesting ideas in the future. :)
You are printing the nicest spot of UK😂
Yes, this is a nice slice of the block universe. :)
Wonderful insight! I want to be #ForeverEinstein!
Einstein is always there in the block universe for you. Just have to buy a time travel machine to visit him. I checked on Amazon but unfortunately there are none for sale. :)
Love the scenery and good advice on meditation. Shall practise it.
Thank you! Your comments encourage me to remain calm and carry on. 😄
Hi Martin, if I felt stress, I went out to contact the nature😅
Thank you! Yes indeed, communing with nature is very healing and soothing. 😀
Excellent and helpful insights! I love the drunken monkey drinking Guinness.🐒
Thank you! Very kind. Probably shouldn't mix monkeys and Guinness. In Japan, some farmers give beer to their cows to improve the beef and cows, being sensible creatures, don't overindulge and become hyperactive; they are philosophically contented.
The meaning of life is 42
Ha! Ha! I am a fan of Douglas Adams too. However, I suspect that the meaning of life is 6. Six is a special number in maths for a variety of reasons. I do Six Steps to ... because 5 and 7 are so prime whereas 6 chills out as being mean and proper.
Really enjoyed following along, both scenery and advice-wise!
Many thanks. Nice to have additions to my audience!
Wonderful scenery! And amazing advice!
Thank you! Much appreciated.
How to handle those people who reject kindness?
I am reminded of the joke that the assassin found killing with kindness to be harder than he envisaged. Some people like all the kindness you can give; some people reject outright. As always, we should exercise moderation. It is out of our control whether people are receptive. However, I would like to think that even if someone rejects - even rudely rejects - then a little seed has been planted in them that will cause them to reflect at a later time and bring a bit of happiness to them.
Love this 🩵
Thank you. You are most kind.
Thankyou for sharing your thoughts with us! Looking forward to the walks in the countryside
Thank you! There most definitely will be plenty of walking 😀
