Amen. God uniquely created each of us with passions and interests that open the door to RELATIONSHIPS in ways the institutional church can't. But as I read my bible, you ARE the church and the presence of the Kingdom of God where you are in your community, with like-minded people. Genuine relationships open the door to trust. They also open the door to introducing your friends to your friend Jesus in a natural way. God has called every believer to make disciples. This is where you do it. This is how you do it. Discipleship starts with the first contact with an unbeliever, "teaching them the things I (Jesus) have taught you." Try it.

AMEN! You nailed it brother. Keep encouraging us to be everyday missionaries where we live, work and play!

Its interesting to watch the display over your shoulder talk about "quiet time" and "me time" while you are teaching us how to wait with purpose as we pray. Very serendipitous.

This is so true! We make it out to be a scary animal. When all we have to do is be ourself and tell them we want to see them in heaven. If Jesus would rather die than be without you, than I'm going to care about you too.

Good Morning Matt I think I was one of the first to sign up at Faith but for one reason or another I found a Monday night was quite difficult for me! Now my husband is the last stage of coronary heart disease and vasculitis. Vasculitis is where the veins in his brain and heart are shrinking and pulling away! I oh so want to go through this but it’s very difficult to make a commitment because of my husband Jim. Plus I will be having back surgery Sept 4th. I realize I need to be in a group to do this but is there any way to have sessions during the day? Thank you for the email it helped to remind me this is something I would really like to do! Great point but, I seriously doubt anyone ate 3 meals a day in that time.

I just love this stuff. It's the most down to earth, succinct and on point ideas of how to reach out to people. The wisdom you share makes this a real possibility for trying to do one of the hardest things for our churches to do- connect and talk with others, reaching out with God's care and love.

Why just cherry pick from the book? just tell people to live right OR also tell them that gods demands you kill your daughter if she has a boyfriend

The phone dopamine epidemic is a great point. Personal reflection and meditation is being lost. And yes, when you do hear the voice of God, its in a dream, its late at night and it wakes you up, its when your broken, perhaps because that's the only time your mind finally answers Gods call?

Given the prophesied Billion Soul Harvest - even gang members, God's people must accept misfits who have become believers. I have a vision for non-family households praying and growing together. They are connected with other households in communities, worshipping God and working to bring the Kingdom to their neighborhoods.

Yes, this is a very important message for Church groups to discuss. Far too many argue and divide over "changes" in things that at the heart of it, just do not matter. Songs sung, robes vs suits, organ, guitar, decorations, on and on. All trivial matters when it comes to the core, making disciples. And improving ones own self as a disciple. Deeper study of the Word, apologetics, legalism and literalism, on and on. Good video.

This is the stuff. We don't have to go searching. We ask God to open our eyes to the opportunities he already has us naturally in. Listen to people, keep eye contact, converse, ask questions, listen more, offer to pray when they mention anything that could use it. Or just ask what you could pray for. Then, fumble through the prayer. Many or even most of us are not comfortable praying. That's ok. Be willing to cross over that line of your comfort zone, and just do it. Keep it simple. God will honor it. It doesn't take long to have a reputation with people of being a caring person and good listener. Just. Be. You.

As an atheist, brought up in a Christian country I have no problem talking about our different views. Unfortunately Islam is currently showing you how dangerous religious indoctrination is. I speak to Muslims yet they refuse to accept anything other than Islam . Christianity is doomed ( within. 300 years) Atheism, I'm sad to say has been taken over by the far left . I see no way out of this .
