Why I Don't Care about Avengers Endgame
Who do you think should win the award?
Let us know your Eisner pick!
It's the night of the beards.
I like the continuity of saying I am “as always” on the previous one acknowledging it wasn’t true and then “as usual” on this one. Nicely done.
HAHAHA!
Send me a script of current day politics of the 1800s and I will draw it
Can you sell me on these books?
Thanks to Mike and Kelsey for making this a great show!
I'm lovin' your stories, dudes! BTW - you're both wrong - it's Jer-A'-see. But not to worry, I have one of the toughest names to pronounce. It's Sicilian and my dentist, my car repair shop, etc., still mess up my name - lol. Who would have thought Erik Burnham would be a huge star? He's done a fantastic job with Ghostbusters' lore, which can be tricky to satisfy fans.
Thanks for the correction!
3 words: Leonard Nimoy's Primortals (well 5 if we add Tekno Comix). It was a fun & semi-original comic! Ps- You had some fun picks even though I haven't read them all.
"PromoSM" 😌
Thanks for the shout out! Much appreciated! I enjoyed the podcast.
Referring to Twitless's underground webcomics, of course. 😆😜
Should have read the annual.
Why shall Rhys return? He seems to be here now.
HAHAHA! I left that note for the guys in the pre show when I are a sandwich. Then forgot it was there
Pump the stock
Hey very good and thanks for sharing my bro. I wish I could have made it to the premiere but I watched/listened to the whole thing. Good work everyone on your creative works.
Thanks for the visit!!
Le epic show
Thanks!
Good show!
Thanks!
Superfriends!
Look at that cute little kitty in the background. 😜
Matt, you need to fix the typo in the title for this one. There's an I after Matt.
Good show!
What are the odds we can get Williamson on our show?
The irony in this story is hilarious.
Thanks for streaming, guys!
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for a great show!
Yeah!! It was a good one!
I discovered the sweet 16 comic in October but just as I thought about entering work just got really rough.
I feel that!
It's like watching two scientists trying to understand how the Giant Mussels were summoned, and there's two wizards just standing on the sidelines, giggling at them trying to figure it out.
Cartoonicus 😂😂😂😂. How did he miss Twitless's Butt Jokes? Must be too dang Kirby-focused on creating art. I will return to the chat one day. But work shifts are work shifts. Stay healthy Rhys. I've heard if you get too thin in Nebraska that the wind blows you westward until you get caught on a rock in Colorado. ⛰️
It was my shift anyway. I was screaming over my machine at my coworkers that the Clarkair Crawler Model CA-1 tractor despite being 90% replaced with non-war parts was still part of World War II. And all he kept screaming at me was ship of Theseus...
Thanks for the shout out! I'll try to catch the "real" stream next week!
Oh good now I have time to not watch the GOP debates
Oh, was that tonight?
Also I now share Rhys's opinions on Mark Millar due to the comic shop gal offering me Nemesis... Mark now sits atop a gory pile of bad comic creators which I had been collecting over the years. Because he killed even them with the cringe that is Nemesis. I struggled...
Watching/listening to this at 5:00 AM. How did the Butt-Comic-Man become such a Grandmother about Scott Pilgrim? Good show! Despite the Metal and his fast food plague. I would recommend less Arby's. You either gonna be all in with fast food or all out.
In reference to your conversation about moonlight and her role in the story, It's sad that even books that you're enjoying you have to stay on guard for SJWisms that might crop up later. We used to not worry when a new character gets introduced if they were going to ham handedly upstage the character whose name is on the cover.
Freedom is always one generation from extinction
Twittless: "I am bad at taking criticism." I seriously doubt that... He keeps coming back here.
Favorite episode. Good talk. Not too brainy, just slushed opinions.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lex Luthor became a Superfriend!
This argument will age well.
I have a funny story to add to this great show! Working @ a theater in CO Springs, there was a lady who came out @ the end (or about an hour into)of a movie complaining to me. She had taken her grandson to see a 'comic book movie' & was really bothered by what they saw as she felt those movies were safe. I told her we don't do refunds @ the end but only w/in the 1st 20 minutes & she could have left. I stated it was R rated & had 'ladies of the night' acting like law enforcement- the movie was Sin City!
You would think the title of the film would tell you it isn't appropriate.
@@phillipcummings3518 That was my reply to her!
looks good. If he sticks with it and becomes a great writer, I think Angel Studios would be smart to make a Soulfinder movie. Low budget.
I shall now watch this in full. 👍✨
Take two!
This was another great show gentleman. Thanks for putting it out! If you've been following the Isom campaign, people are interested in good comics. They just don't want cruddy rehash is mixed with things that they see and everyday life. As a side note, they are doing an art contest open for anybody so maybe you guys could submit something? Anyway take care guys keep doing the good work you're doing!
I'm not so sure about that. Lots of these memoirs are still doing numbers two and three decades later. Thousands of more people have read Blankets that have heard of Eric July, which is no insult to the man. I am really feeling that there is a whole market that needs better ideas
@@MathewDRhys Good point sir! Come to think of it the FCBD ones that have been more memorable are the personal memoirs.
Memoir-ize this stream if you can.
This was a good show- thanks for doing it gents! I loved the Marvels story & have even enjoyed (although somewhat less) the follow-ups. I remember buying the 0 issue from a mail order catalog type thing. I am a BIG fan of Ales Ross' art. What you said in comparison to Astro City is on point & I love that series too.
Marvel at our exegesis.
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a podcast!
LOADING RUclips COMMENT . . . . .
This is the best start to any Livestream. Make Twitless depressed, Make Rhys angry. Forget to give Cartoonicus credit, Make Metal Bald. (Oh wait 😁). Make Larry fight Twitless. Make Matt C talk history.
