    Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. Just moved into a new house with this exact tap and it's been giving us issues. Your video was really helpful 😊

    Thank you very very much ...we have had a leak at that spot and I didn't know how to replace the cartridge (didn't even know it was called a cartridge). Thanks again guys

    Thank you. Needed to replace the cartridge on an IKEA glittran mixer tap, another video showed how to access the cartridge and this was very helpful in showing how to take the cartridge out replace it.

    Tech talking to him self, action hidden under his hands. Never know when was fault, what corrective action he has taken no idea.

    Handel on my faucet is solid as a rock. I tried everything to unscrew it.

      Got the same problem. Already fixed it?

    • @4txx
      @4txx Год назад

      @jaapgerritsen84 I managed to unscrew it in a rather amusing way. I used strong tape to wrap around the handle several times while also inserting wooden toothpicks in between layers. These toothpicks provided a grip point for the adjustable spanner. Zero scratches.

    I just watched your video and did exactly what you did . Now the water pressure is at a trickle. Any ideas on how to get the pressure back to how it should be. Both cold and hot are producing the same pressure

      I finally figured it out! I must of loosened some build up and it was lodged in the aerator.

    This is the only video that shows that the handle needs to be unscrewed first to reveal the grub screw. Similar tap but Franke Fuji that I have and no where it shows this although underneath there is the usual small hole but no hexagon key turns anything. Having many fruitless moments I will try it tomorrow. Many thanks.

    Thanks mate, love that you saw something missing and gave back to the community by making this. Top bloke. I’ve got one with separate hot and cold taps. Is it the same idea, just need to isolate which one is causing the drip and then replace just that?

  • @snuffle2269
    @snuffle2269 3 года назад

    I should have watched this first. I had a constant drip on the cold side side so I took my Armal apart and discovered a small piece of rusted screen stuck in the cold side. The individual, small o-rings adjacent to the 2 locating stubs were flat so I bought the 35mm replacement control (non-factory). It didn't seem to fit so I went back to the hardware store and they said you need the gasket kit which doesn't fit on the original mixing valve. So I reinstalled the old and it seals well. So in this video I see that no gaskets are involved. I have the spare mixer and gaskets. I could have saved about 10 Euros. We have good water so the original might last well beyond me. THE ORIGINAL CLOGGING SCREEN CAME FROM THE WATER METER CHANGE BY THE CITY.

    Excellent work. My new home has this gooseneck style mixer tap in the kitchen sink and I've never had to replace the cartridge in these style of taps before. Thus didn't know how to pull one apart to get to the cartridge. I didn't even know they're called cartridges in these new taps. As I've only ever replaced tap washers on the traditional hot/cold taps. This video has given me the info I need where to start. Thanks for sharing.

      @@TheCJN702 you are right!! Apparently a picture isn't worth a thousand words. Dear All you 'watch' this video.... please listen too, otherwise you will never know that he had already fixed it, and now was doing it all over again to show us how he had done it.......
