Sorry, two handed heaving in bowling does not count! get some intergrity back into the game and outlaw this. Might want to run the pin weight to 4 lbs and soften the kickbacks.
2 handed bowlers are the biggest joke and ruined bowling. I was bowling 300s way back in the 70s with 1 hand on wooden lanes with a plastic ball. It's not even a challenge to average 230 anymore that's why I quit
I agree 😢
We didn’t ruin bowling, just gotta practice more.
@fishing4fun42 I've had 34 300s 18 800s since 1978 one hand no crutch cheating here. Quit 7 years ago finishing with a 232 average nothing more to prove winning several regional tournaments. Bowling is dead no body cares about it anymore. We had 17 Bowling houses 20 years ago now only 6 left in my area. I'm done and I've seen dozens of my pro bowler friends ruin there lives trying to make it and lose so money traveling and eating and hotels only to make a few bucks.
I bet you walked uphill to the outdoor alleys and home again uphill all the way.
@KarateSensei71 In the snow ❄️ carrying 12 bowling balls like all these other dumbasses nowadays. New ball comes out everyone rushes to get it.
"There's no benefit to anything you do" words to not live by.
While facing a kid named "Buttery", this Tom guy decides to lick his fingers before throwing the ball
Young two hander versus a guy using no thumb. Bowling in 2025…
These comments are unbelievable. Thanks for focusing on local sports. These bowlers wouldn't get any coverage and acknowledgements outside of their own alley if not for shows like this. I can't wait to see the legend of CJ Buttery to grow!! Great job each week on BTC.
Lets see how well he heaves into middle age adulthood.
@ I was asked, “ Is CJ Buttery the LeBron James of bowling?” To which I replied, “Maybe we should ask ourselves if LeBron James is the CJ Buttery of basketball?” 🤔
The male commentator is just a talking head idiot
Dingman like well it’s walled I’ve it 20-5 and I’ll strike😂😂
ofcourse the young'n uses 2 handed style. what a surprise
😂😂😂
Yeah the comments makes it hard to watch. They make unnecessary comments at the wrong time
Way to go kid Very Impressive Right up 2 arrow 😊
They are Bowling on a house shot Walled to the Gills😊
My King Charles buttery 🙏
One handers that bowl with no thumb and 2 handers are just the bowlers who weren't coordinated or talented enough to hook it with 3 fingers one handed. LOSERS
I take it you've been beat by a few 2 handers in your day? Games evolve, maybe you should too🤷♀️
In volleyball, I have a unique form that brought me to nationals and initially the coach didn't even want me on the team. But the facts were facts and I was posting big numbers. Same with bowling. Any form that gets the end product is viable. Welcome to game evolution, Loser
You mean players like Jason Belmonte? 31 PBA titles, 15 majors? What a loser!
It helps if you have gym program you can use a heavier ball for longer time I am 65 and still using 15 pounds
Wow. A solid 10 on ball 11. UNLUCKY
@5:54 that 7 pin wasn't even touched...dude was robbed in that shot 🤣 unreal pin action, and the 7 stands firm!
I keep hearing the word “clueless” being bandied about in these comments- but the most egregious examples of that are coming from the very people making that claim. What’s clueless is looking at this small production program that runs every single week and then expect them to to fetch the best commentators in the sport somehow. These productions are not cheap- it’s a labor of love. The sue slander is crazy, her experience is quite obvious and her knowledge is commanding. And Paul may not have a background in bowling, but his extensive background as an accomplished sports commentator is very apparent and is a skill in and of itself. Even if you have decades of bowling experience, unless you are comfortable behind a mic, all of you haters would sound like total midwits if you had to be in their position.
I love beat the champ. If you don't like it try it yourself, probably not as easy as you think
The commentary is so cringy.... the bowling and forma lt is entertaining but having the guy that knows nothing about bowling talk 90 percent of time makes us want to watch it without volume....😅
I'm starting to become a Dingman fan.
Whew!! ......and I thought CDB talked too much!!!!
Oh she does. But at least she knows what she is talking about. The commentary from Paul is just whack. Clueless.
This kid looks exactly like Max from The George Lopez Show if he became a bowler in high school
Rookie mistake changing balls
I've been bowling two handed for over 25 years now.
Damn Paul...let Sue talk
Dang he had a clean game at the end and lost to an opponent who missed 2 spares.
🤠👍 Good job by the "Dingman" I felt he needed to shoot a big game to win because 🧈is a 🖐🖐 Not needed. Skill and experience overcomes. 👑👑 😃 Nice to see a newcomer come along CJ 🧈 nice job.
Okay the winner moves on to next week but what does the winner get besides that?
$300
He also gets an entry in the season finals that pays a larger prize.
Thanks for the responses. The announcers should say that
A coupon to the local rub and tug?
Tell the guy commenting to let others talk. He is very annoying and it takes away from a great show. Paul should be replaced!
Commentary is making it harder to keep watching these. Paul is completely clueless about the sport, and his constant nonsensical questions are distracting. Just call the action, man. Stop trying to analyze something you have no knowledge of.
Turn volume down then
@@tylerroberts1745nope he’s right about that. Turning it down won’t do anything good.
Couldn't agree more. I've started watching with the volume off 😅
Sue’s marvelous
I'd assume his style is meant to educate new / young viewers.
Yikes ... here we go again with Mr Clueless --- He didn't leave "a couple of pins" , he left the 2-4-10 Wow , this guy does not get it. Paul doesn't understand the difference in stronger or weaker bowling balls, even after it has been explained to him a few times. Great bowling.... not so great commentary.
Need better knowledge of doing the play by play. They need to bring the legendary Tom Baker to Beat The Champ or Jack Jurek to the announcers booth.
Love Sue Love Paul Great energy, great stories and great insight into the game of bowling.
sarcasm
We must be listening to two different things 🤔
The commentators are talking over each other and it’s making this very hard to listen to. Sound OFF!
These commentators are clueless
Sure. Can’t wait to see you on the show. Or are you just a keyboard commentator?
@TheGreatConstantini would love to, but I'm not remotely in the area. Seriously, she's taking about all the strain in the thumbless approach. If you know how to use the weight of the ball, there really isn't much
@@AmandaHugankiss328 i thought the same thing lmao i switched to two handed because its basically zero strain on my wrist and arm
@@mcstench8913 exactly 👍🏼
Go to 3:32, you have no idea what Paul Peck was describing about. He needs to get a bowling tip segment from the PBA pros from Storm Bowling.
“Like a QB coming into the NFL throwing behind his back” oh… you mean Patrick Mahomes? When is Beat The Champ coming to KC, where the real champs are?
Sorry chump, bowling has no crooked referees to help you win!
"Pretty makeable if you hit it the right way" Genius!
i need to move to NY. averaging 280 would be fun.
I don't know what is more surprising, the fact that Scott Dingman averages 247 or the fact that he is only 53
Right 😂
Ringing 10 grossssss
Looks to me like he moved his target left .. more in front of him
Paul really needs to learn that he doesn't have to fill all of the dead air. It's okay for it to be quiet sometimes, especially when the bowler is throwing a shot.
l'm also hoping to see Chuck again soon!
Beat the champ is never on when the guide says it's on
This bowling alley seems a lot better than the one in town i live in.
Calling Strikes Jersey over here is Philly/Jersey thing. When you cross the Delaware river, it's going Jersey.
I'd beat the champ for sure
Paul Peck talks way too much. I just finished watching the January 31st show and he wouldn't shut up.
How is it that Rob Piccoli is throwing a 900 Global ALTERED REALITY ?? I thought that ball was BANNED by the USBC ??? Or is this Beat the Champ a sanctioned show if a bowler bowls a honor score ???
This competition is so cool!! 😎🎳
I remember watching this years ago and it was so cool with an old school broadcast style. So crazy to see how much of an upgrade this program got. Love it no matter what!
