6th Monsoonal Storms here in the suburbs of Los Angeles located in Southern California. Very nice and structured thunderstorms made formation here in the Inland Empire and in various places around local mountain communities such as San Gabriel’s and High Desert locations. The storms were uplifting very quickly and in close range an outflow windstorm came through and caused pockets of dust to blow through. The temperatures were far excessively hot almost 110 for the third day in a row. Rain showers came a later on as the wind subsided lightly with the sun glistening raindrops as they fell. Southern California hardly got any moonson storms this year. It's like every year less and less moonson storms are disappearing.

In Fontana, I got 30mph winds with 65mph gusts! It was so fun going outside.
Surprisingly it wasn't windy here in Western Downtown Los Angeles but we did get some breezes here and there. Santa Ana Winds are coming back and honestly, I'm not ready for it. I don't really like strong winds but I can't really do anything about it. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! The Santa Ana winds are very dry, correct? What temperatures do you register during such events? Here in Europe at the foot of the Alps we have Föhn winds, which are practically the same as Chinook winds you have there in North America east of the Rockyes😊
Well actually for the past few years we haven't had events with high temperatures because we usually have 70-80 degree temperatures, but for this one it was rather cooler and in the low 60's with windchill in the 50's. But temps can reach to as high as 100 when in the fall because our fall is certainly warm rather than cold but yes very destructive to farms and plants because of its aridity. Trees are sometimes dried out and are left with demolished foliage but we are actually west of the Rockies in California where we have Santa Ana Winds. But quite interesting to learn of other locations with similar weather. 👍

Yes, I know just something about California, your area if I am not wrong has practically a mediterranean climate (here in Europe similar climates to the coast of California you can find in south Spain, south Italy and Greece). And your pretty low latitude should give you mild winters. Here around the Alps we are at the latitude of British Columbia\state of Whashington. Milan is at the same latitude as Montreal, and so our winters are cold but generally not as cold as those you find in other continent at the same latitude. When there are Föhn winds temperatures rise fast and in the middle of winter you can reach +10\+15°C sometimes even +20°C!!! (which for us are temperatures typical of April\May).
