Wow! Beautifully done video. I didn't realize the many little lakes along this section of trail. Thanks for taking the time to photo and identify each of them. I live down the road in Yakima but never have been up there, but now I must! Thanks again!
Looks like fun and the pics are phenomenal! Subbed 🙂
I never knew Ireland was so mountainous! And the ancient structures! And sheep in the road!
@@garyreynolds5397 ancient structures EVERYWHERE! So cool! And I knew we had a possibility of the sheep. 😂 They also have sheep everywhere!
Love your video! I see you made it to the Naches Peak Loop? Is that on the PCT? What route did you take? Which route has the best views of Mt Rainier? Thanks
@@rythemsold hi there - I took the PCT from White Pass to ALMOST Chinook Pass, but I took the west side of the Naches Peak loop rather than follow the PCT to the east side (I turned left at the Naches Peak trail). The west side has views of Rainier. The east side of the loop is also beautiful, but Naches Peak obscures Rainier from view.
Thank you for your reply. I love a view! What time of year? Looks like fall? I was planning this trip this week, however it looks like rain.
@@rythemsold toward the end of September - fall is definitely the best time for this hike! Good colors, no mosquitos, and elk bugling!
Will do! Thanks for the advice.
Great shot of the bear in the meadow with Rainier looming in the background. The bears seem to be pretty comfortable around people.
Thank you - I was very excited as I was happening. The bears weren’t bothered by us at all!
What was the elevation
Just over 10,000 feet altitude. About 4700 feet of elevation gain, but felt like WAAAY more than that!
Wow, it's June and it's still snow capped, that's incredible! I bet you were frozen?
Really? Almost 2 years to post this…..

Looks like you’re about to get blown off the mountain!
It sure felt like we were. I couldn’t even keep my beanie on!
