A quick video demonstrating how the stick moves in the fulcrum

This video shows your single stroke technique at regular speed, and slowed down. Notice how the stick is allowed to move, like a hinge, with each stroke. The back three fingers are your "guiding fingers". They do not grip tightly, but they still curve around the stick and do not flare out.

The goal here is to maintain the technique practiced throughout the exercise, while keeping a consistent tempo (the tempo is the speed of the given exercise). Try not to speed up or slow down. Every now and then, look down and check your grip to make sure you are maintaining your technique.
