I was in it. Going to Upperville (?) Horse show. Had to swim the horses out and swam to Pinky Rollins farm. Showed a day later.

I wonder if the creators of Aliens ever thought a) a child would carry their figurine around like it's a teddybear, or b) that Paul would make it sing opera style.
この曲は名曲だね。 セカンドシングルにしてほしかった。
Yeah, "flood mud." I remember it, well. Then the dust in the air when it dried. Later, when I had children, I started having dreams that I had one child in my arms and telling the other to hold on to my neck, swimming through flood waters after the bridge we were on, fell. It took a long time to deal with the aftereffects. I think flood systems can be built to withstand the inevitable or the most catastrophic possibility, but I'm not convinced that's how they're built. Most construction contracts are decided through bids, and in many cases, the lowest bid is the one selected. We get what we're willing to pay for. I was astounded to read, many years later, the Almond Dam did not fail, that the Army Corp of Engineers ordered the release of water. I was out on the Canisteo River between Addison and Erwin and that was a pretty quick release because that water came up and filled that valley, from wall to wall, in minutes. We were penned in with cliffs behind us and no way out, but the water came to the bottom of our steps, filled the basement and held there till it started to recede. It wasn't till we could get out a few days later and drive to town that we understood what had really happened. Bridges in the water, highways curled up like ribbon candy, houses, flat against bridge abutments, and mud, everywhere. But there were amazing stories, as well, of a gold fish in a bowl that floated up with the wood table it was on and still in clean water when they came home. A bunch of great products from Corning Building Company landed in my front yard; a nice wok, some cups and bakeware still in the boxes. Now I live at about 1600' above sealevel, and except for rock falling out of the hills, if it rains hard enough, I'm good.
George Martin is thinking well I paid my dues with him I'll do my part but this is terrible
Awwwww the baby James. Daddy certainly fits the Bill though, doesn't he?
My brother helped in cleaning up
Sounds like disco
Billy Shears
Been a fan of this song/album/genius for 40 years. Never seen this film before. Wonderful. I wonder if it's not more like late 1980 (Nov/Dec), which would make young James three-and-a-quarter.
Such a great song, loved his 80s stuff
that was crazy
He is the most beautiful person ever
I used to work at air. This is studio 2 over looking Oxford Circus. The piano is a permanent fixture and has been on millions of songs. The assistant in the footage is Steve Orchard - now a brilliant engineer himself. I worked with George Martin on a couple of his projects as an assistant as George was Chairman of the studios as such got to know his son Giles quite well. McCartney & Harrison came in twice while i was there (Harrison recorded The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea) - McCartney some live remixes. Brilliant studios. Brilliant history.
That’s insane, thank you for sharing!
The assistant in this footage is Geoff Emerick.
I think The Jam recorded their last album called ‘The Gift’there and one of the songs on it was called ‘Circus’ because it overlooked a circus.
Is there more songs recorded
greatest voice in Rock....I miss it, but we all grow old
One his BEST of PIPES OF PEACE ALBUM...LOVE IT !!!!
Linda always seemed so enraptured with everything he said.
Side one of this album is perfect!
Love seeing this footage of Paul at work. Also Paul with family is cool too. Linda & little James. George Martin is a great producer.
The camera angles are good...so is the editing. Good job.
James..great job! Your dad was the best! Your editing was really good too.
very well done. I was actually expecting more done by the media for our 50th anniversary. We did a VHS tape for the 25th anniversary in 1997 produced by WETM. I asked about converting that to a disk for the 50th but it couldn't be done.
Well done 👏
It's a tribute to Jeff Lynne, certainly
George Martin was a giant compared to Paul.
I know this may sound crazy, but could this have been filmed right before John died? Online it says that this song was recorded Nov 30, Dec 7, Dec 8 1980. And overdubs were done in Feb and March 1981. And if you look at James, he still looks quite young. He looks like a 3 year old. He looks about the same as in photos from late 1980 to early 1981.
His voice is magic as always
This was cool! I love Paul's early solo records after Wings.
Linda is so cute aww #yum
Aw, this is magic at work! I love seeing the two legends at work...while the kiddies are playing.
Full accolades to Paul for walking away from the Beatles and actually try to become a new band with massive appeal! He sure succeeded!
2:34 the sound engineer is like: No fun in my studio allowed.
0:45 this sound engineer creates a hard clear sound !
Oddly enough, seeing George Martin working with Paul during this era looks more like "The Beatles" than when the 3 Beatles played together in the Anthology series.
True.
He is unbelievable!!!!
George Martin looking at Paul probably muttering to himself "this is one of the boys who made me millions". Lol.
Beatles split in '69, And since then, They've been doing fine, And if that question doesn't cease, Ain't no one gonna get no peace, And if you ask it just once more, I think I'm going to break your jaw.
Sir Paul is amazing. Brilliant song.
I just love that joke what was that what year did Paul McCartney write silly Love songs oh yes here comes from 19 63 all the way up until 19 79 😭
I've just read man on the run,Paul macca book in 1970,s. All about wings and Paul's drugs busts.
“Is it embarrassing being the in a band with Paul McCartney “ wtf kinda question Is that. You’d have to have quite the ego to be jealous and embarrassed you’re not as successful and loved as Paul … almost anyone young musician In 76 would love to be working w a beatle…. Let alone Paul
There they are, the whole band Wings, selling shiploads of records, doing a succesfull tour and in comes some journo asking 'are the Beatles coming back together'. And McCartney - instead of punching the guy in the face - keeps it light and friendly. Respect...
maybe a little rude but sometimes their job is to ask what everybody’s thinking. edit okay nvm you’re right this guy is an ass. “Is it embarrassing to work with such a star like Paul?” 🙄
I wish The Beatles had carried on alongside Wings. Not joking. Laine, McCartney, Harrison, Starr.
Just no.
Linda Linda Linda such a fun and beautiful soul ❤️
love t
Nice Granny Music intro! Just love that vaudeville music!
