How we build a toolbox from scratch
Building a toolbox that we designed from scratch. Starting with flat pieces of metal we create something that will outlive us. We start from our design that we built in SolidWorks and then laser cut, CNC form, weld, and assemble our custom boxes.

anyone mind telling me what those "pegs" are called ? :) i get that those arent rivets... :) never seen them :) ive been interested in welding since some time but never got into it :D
Could you make this available in PDF or similar format? The company I work at doesn't have anything like this; I'd like to use this to improve the processes and work I do.

Been following you guys since the HF days, now I'm enjoying these videos of APE. Congrats on four years and thanks for sharing your shop with these vids.
If you dont do any calculations then you arent doing engineering. You are doing designing, then trial & error. Engineers dont build a bridge to wait and see if it collapses and then go back and try again. We support our design with proven calculations.

That guy using calipers instead of a micrometer to measure , wondering why the part is running out while using the 6 jaw instead of a collet, then turningg the part the wrong direction into the file. He should let the machinist machine the part and take his clipboard back to his office
Respectfully , you cannot precision work with calipers.
This video is inspiring. It proves that anyone can call himself a machinist.
Yeah the blue print should make sure they go together
They had us make these four pins and this part with four holes in it but they never told us they go together.
