@@headdown1 still popular in the Uk AFF in great quicker but there’s a market for S/L

@@ianchick297 Here it's tandem for most first jumps and then AFF. Static line is long gone, and IAD was only in Canada - the US stuck with static line over IAD until it faded away. I started on static line in 1977, but I am happy to see tandem and AFF for new jumpers.

@ianchick297 I think they are spring-loaded to the feathered position on shutdown to decrease drag in the event of failure. It's been a while, I forget some of these things. Let me know if that matches the pilots answer. Thanks!
