I have this same one and ill save yall time do exactly what she is doing and don't be scared to break the clips after you get it off what ever clips aint broke break the mfer's they aren't important you have all the screws that will hold the back on perfect. you have to keep those coils clean to blow cold and not get faults because it basically cant breath and will burn out which what they want. So next time you gotta clean the coils or coil blades undo the screws and it slides right off. 💪💪💪💪

To much storage space or your ipad is lagging, fix this by restarting the ipad (hold down home button)

Thanks, I ended up removing the white tabs on the back panel entirely because the screws are enough to hold the unit together. Cleaning the inaccessible fins boosted the unit's performace a lot

I don’t think this is a device issue. I honestly think this is something coded into Instagram to get people to disregard posting comments. Considering how many restrictions they have now and how often they ban comments, they most likely have it in place so people aren’t posting offensive long comments. This is exactly what I was telling my gf. I said "Why the hell is there no panel or filter here for the coils??" I took all the screws out out but had no luck getting it to come off, hense what led me to this video. Thanks for the info.

I finally figured out that using a medium flat blade screwdriver with a slight twisting motion in the gap between the 2 covers works great 0:15

I want you to get into how you got those tabs unlocked. Please....!!! I have been trying for 3 hrs so far and they won't release. How many tabs are there per side? And did you start from the bottom and work upwards?

Thank you!!! 🙏 This video is still helping people. After 2 summers of mostly trouble free service, I kept getting the E5 error even after draining. What I discovered after taking the cover off (saved by this video!) was that the dust from those lower coils had gotten into the condensation tray and turned into sludge that wasn't draining. Cleared that out and it's good to go again. I don't know why they didn't put the same kind of removable filter on the lower opening, it definitely needs one!!

Hey, I was having trouble getting those clips to unclip. I think mine is a slightly newer model so it might have a different setup. So, I tried using a vacuum with a brush attachment. The bristles on the brush weren't long enough, so I used a brush with much longer bristles (a plastic pot scrubber) which worked really well. The pot scrubbing brush lifted the fluff and the vacuum sucked it all up as it came off. Worked great without having to remove the back!

Thats exactly where mine was secretly collecting dirt, clogging and overheating by the 2nd summer the compressor stopped kicking in - all this despite cleaning the accessible filters weekly this still happened. I’m about to pull it apart because it’s already heavy expensive garbage at this point anyway and can only potentially get better… or sent to the dump where it belongs. Worst AC unit I’ve ever owned.

I know this is a super late video but I tried to get a screwdriver in there and I just couldn't get them to pop loose I actually broke one of them so instead what I did since there is no filter I just cut the back part of the plastic off with wire cutters and then use my vacuum cleaner to clean out the rest.. it is working so much better now!!! I'm going to tape that plastic part back on and the next time I need to clean it I'll just remove it again and give it a good cleaning and then put it back on.. I agree there needs to be a totally different setup to be able to clean that part these things are a booger to try to take apart!!!

Thanks - I noticed the layout on the back, when I first got it. I'm pretty sure they do it like that so the unit over heats and eventually stops working, correctly. Mine ran for about 2 years without problems. Then today its about 85 degrees in my bedroom, so I set it up and it would cool for about 5 minutes then shut off and just be the fan. I was also worried I break it by taking it apart (broke many things trying to force). But your video showed exactly where the clips were. After cleaning, it works fine an blows air much better!!!

For those who think she is doing her job…. The yard guy comes and mows the grass, but doesn’t weedeat or blow off the driveway, etc… did he really do his job? She already has the scanner in hand, she is required to scan the label upon receipt but refuses to…it’s not difficult and she is the only one who has a problem with it. Scanning the paper only shows she stopped here
