In newer videos, why are comments turned off? I like to read what others have to say about the products. It keeps things real.
Your design with the solid mounted motor reduction unit probably allows you to run faster (more reliable) IPM as well. The guys on the forums can’t get enough of your machines! Keep up the good work. For us DIY guy.. do you offer any packages selling the linear rail, rack, and maybe reduction unit separate? I’d love to upgrade my self built machines hardware.
THIS IS GREAT!! I NEED MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!! Especially for troubleshooting sheetcam stuff.
I don't own a Star Lab table, but I learned a couple of cool things about CommandCNC in this video. Thanks!
smooth and beefy.
That is awesome speed and cut detail.
Glad to see you hammering out awesome parts for the plasma tables! We just love ours at rock ridge welding! Thanks Matt!!
Hello thanks for the video. I currently have a Baileigh router table and wanted to know what post processor I should use for sheetcam? Thanks
Love the music matt
Matt. Next time you are near North Salt Lake, I really need your expertise. Our table does not operate like it should since we updated it to the C and CNC.
Matt u r still full of SHIT , U R NOT THE ONLY ONE USING THEM
Do you have any videos of the RotaCut cutting square tubing? Also, are there additional material supports on the table or does the chuck support 100% of the weight of the tube?
How do you touch off? Ohmic Sensing? If so any issues with the conductivity of contaminated water giving false positives?
That is an older Star Lab using a MaxPro 200 liquid cooled hi density plasma cutter. It does not use ohmic it has a secondary float head switch. It is an option on all Star Lab machines www.StarLabCNC.com
Sounds like Jim colt
Is DTHC enabled here? If so, how do you keep the head from having to tap down between pierces?
Maybe it should not cut letters so close to one another, rather spread out the heat?
Water table is drained so no browns gas/hydrogen gas build up?
Good info! :)
Damn Bro you know your shit!
Nice vids but could you maybe go landscape on the videos instead of portrait? Much easier to watch.
AWESOME LOL
Is this a servo drive setup? That's nice and fast.
Brent Johnson It sure is
That'll be a must on our next table. I'm very happy with what we have now but I'm sure that'll be the icing on the cake!
It looks like a pierce start not an edge start, did you adjust any book settings to accomplish that?
It's a ramp pierce. Plunge rate is set to the same as travel speed. I believe we set the pierce delay to 0.
Is it that the torch is not lifting before it pearce's the steel?
Is this what you are using instead of Mach now?
Yes for about a year
How much is that program?
Please contact us via email or phone for more information on retrofitting an older machine
Is this a servo motor version of your star lab cnc? I have one of your machines, and it seemed that this machine accelerated and decelerated much faster than mine. I am just wondering because we cut a lot of thin sheet metal on the machine. I currently need to add lots of special actions slowing the feed rate in corners and turning the dthc off and then back on after the corner so I don't get a round corner, so I was wondering if any of the newer machines with servos fix this issue?
What year is your machine? Is it a Star Lab?
Also this a stepper version (Standard stepper running and not the updated NGEN large frame high acceleration stepper system). It is possible your machine is detuned.
We just bought Kurt Busch teams cylinder head porting machine and another long travel mill. We may get a Vf4ss this year but so far no speedio in the immediate future. We were eyeing the 650 twin pallet. For now our current machines are keeping up. Love that speedio though -Matt
I have a 5x10 table of yours. How do I get it to react this way with 105 amp on 3/8 plate?
Settings we used Pause at end of cut zero (That's a tool setting in sheetcam), Ref distance 40in (That's a custom post setting on sheetcam/options/machine/postprocessor/custom post options), Rapid clearance plane (.32), Plunge safety clearance (.25), Both of those options in sheetcam/options/job options. Perpendicular lead in (smallest per diameter of pierce hole), .030 overcut, no lead out.
Thanks
Dope
So I imported my drawing in sheetcam and set the tool path. for some reason when I load the g code into mach3 it only shows various bits of the features and not the entire part. I've tried everything. the only thing I can think of was sheetcam wasn't set up properly.
I liked your timing cover minus the thrust plate which would of been nice to have . . Just another speed bump of an AMC basket case build Finally hunted one down . . Top notch cover tho
