Removed the suitcase on my 95 VR6, in place is a straight pipe. 2015/11/10 I have installed a small mid-muffler straight through type. It dramatically reduces drone up to the 2k RPM range. Anything above still gives a nice tone.

Access Granted will be shown on the LCD for 10 seconds if the correct combo is entered. Certain buttons do multiplication of the code variable and division. Otherwise Access denied is show for 1.5 seconds. The 4th button tells the system to check the code. Every check will cause it to reset the code after it has finished checking it. Every time a code button is pressed, Reading... is displayed ...

This is a short video I made that shows you can use a micro-sim in the iPhone 5 after you cut it to size and sand it. The brief cut in the video is just me connecting to a WiFi network. Yeeeeeaaaaah you don’t need to rip all that crap off just so you’re aware brother 👍🏼 no special special tools required either. A 27mm spanner cut in half and just the ring end is legit all you need and you can get the filter out without undoing anything else

I made my own key from a socket 27mm, divided into 2, and welded to an old and short wrench..From 1st side socket 27mm downwards and from 2nd side 1/2 inch square connector upwards...if necessary I can add a long 1/2 inch extention and a ratchet, if its stuck..

Here’s how I bodged this to not have take half the engine apart: unplug harness and move filler tube out of the way, take a 27mm socket and the 1/2 inch bar out of a push through style torque wrench, push the bar into the socket and put the socket onto the filter. Use a 1/2 inch wrench on the protruding bar to slowly loosen the filter and voila. Useful if you can’t be bothered to wait for a tool and ur a bodger :)
Sounds good. I eventually cut the part I took out in half. Then you just remove a few bolts and nuts to remove only the left side that blocks access.

Couldn't you use a 27mm Flexi head ratchet spanner to get the oil filter out without taking out the plastic mount housing?
possibly, but it would still be a pain to get the filter cartridge out with that tight space.

The comments are wrong, but yes, you can just change the lid top if you want to. Engine noise is more pronounced.

They have a USB port on them, you just need a cable.

Are you using this model or another model? This specific one uses USB 2.0 to connect and you have to use an external software on the computer to connect to it and print what you want out.
This is the worst method of changing oil filter possible, using the correct tool ,nothing's removed, about 5 minutes to complete.
Too bad you can't walk in to any auto parts store and buy the tool. Any design that requires a special tool for changing the oil filter should be discouraged.

I found a u shape modified ring spanner on eBay purpose built for removing filter housing . Cost about 15 pounds from uk. Arrives in a few weeks and I hope it works as removing all those parts to get at the cap would drive me nuts. A credit to your patients man. Great demo but no thanks.

Yes you can buy the tool. I just think it's stupid you need a special tool in the first place since Ford literally didn't have this plastic piece on this engine in the Mondeo, why put it in the Focus?

Those big scanners are quiet expensive and not build anymore in this version shown in the video. It's pretty old. Search the web for Microfilmscanner or microfichescanner. They mostly only sell to companys but no private people. Maybe go to ebay and search for it. Or write to big librarys or archives, some sell thier old scanners for low budged, we did that with the old ones.

I don't think so. It seems to be specifically for Microfilm.
You can use and 35mm rolls on it and please, dont use the right hand wheel to move on the film. You can see that little blue button on the left side where you'd put the film underneath that little roll, thats to roll up the first piece of film on the roll on the right side. So shove the film to the right side as shown, but dont turn the wheel on the right but press the left blut buttn and the roll wind up the film itself. NO holding thefilm with your finger onto the roll on the right ;) The right wheel is just to move the film forth and back :) I am working with that one daily as a leader of the reading room in a big archive.
@@EveChan1804 thanks for the tip but there was basically no instructions if I remember correctly so we just used it how we thought and tried to be careful. Anyway, the machine isn't there anymore as everything got replaced with desks and computers, even the books aren't there anymore.

I am the same year as your car, but I won't tear down the egr and I don't know where it is.
The EGR should be to the front right of the engine. It's very easy to get to. At least there's a pipe there that's part of the EGR.

Thank you. I think I have to do this now that I've jammed a non-reversible ratchet with socket in there. Life i s a pain sometimes. Update: succes!😊 I only dropped one nut , which my helpful neighbour found. I removed the two under-engine covers to retrieve it, revealing an 8 mm spanner probably lost by the Ford garage. Feels good man.

Did the RS lid today on 1.5eb and will see if there is a difference. More sound is already there. I am re-using my AEM dry air filter. Anyone knows how the bottom part piping is ogranised in RS? Would consider using the bottom part if I can find a way to pipe the intake to the "cold air".
Already checked focus RS piping. Additional elements seems minor one pipe + connecting element. Do not have part numbers yet. We can use the bottom part with thoes.
The cost of the piping is a bit ridiculous IMO, even second hand. I swapped back the lower half to the original one.

Both airbox bottoms are the same. Just swap tops.
Not true. There is an extra intake hole on the RS bottom airbox. However, you must have the extra pipe and a dual inlet mouth at the top for it to be any use otherwise you just suck in hot air from the engine bay. (I have reverted to the original bottom because of this by the way).
I did 3 changes so far and that plastic doesn't need to be taken off (I never did). You just unclip the filler cap, use a special 27mm wrench (google it and you will see the strange U shape) or make one by bending/cut+weld to be able to untighten the oil filter cap then you have enough space to take it out without removing the cover. Takes 10 minutes tops. Also to facilitate access underneath I made a hole in the shield where the drain screw is and no elevation is required for oil change. Did it all in under 30 minutes after that including air filters.
The tool is difficult to buy here and some people around the world may not be able to buy the tool either. Just showing what can be done.
