Believe it or not, both Miyako and Midori came to the guitar late. Midori played piano, and then organ. When she was 20 she bought a guitar and studied in Japan's finest guitar school for shredders. Miyako studied classical piano from age 3, and did a Recital in Paris when she was older. She bought a guitar after she graduated from high school, *_taught herself out of a book_* ( yep, fellow guitarist here who is shocked to type that about the guitarist we are talking about :0) ). Miyako also has a degree in Music Composition, and she writes about half of Lovebites songs, including Swan Song. Ah Beast In Black saw them live twice and nothing is better than dancing and singing along to their songs, the singer Yannis is incredible live he still can hit all of those high notes. According to Anton one of the guitarists the song is heavily inspired by eurobeat music from the 90s, most of BiB's music is heavily inspired by the 80s. Also this song is again by the manga Berserk like usual, they mostly sing about anime and manga. Oh and the band has no keyboard player those arrangements are all Anton he is the main songwriter of Beast In Black, he created the band after he got kicked out of his old band Battle Beast. When the band first toured they needed a vocalist that could sing Battle Beast songs and that band had a female vocalist, they found Yannis because of his covers on youtube and thought he was perfect. Anyways here are some songs I recommend: Blind and Frozen, Beast In Black, From Hell With Love, Ghost In The Rain, Born Again, To The Last Drop Of Blood and Moonlight Rendevouz.

Glad you gave it a second listen. All of their songs have that quality where it improves on more listens. They work really hard to add cool details and are trying new stuff all the time. Their songs are like great movies, where something that seemed insignificant or confusing makes more sense and improves the movie when you rewatch it and understand more context.

This is a tribute to classic rock metal bands. First AC/DC, then Judas Priest, Motorhead, Guns n Roses, Slipknot and Babymetal. Haruka, the lead guitarist and composer, is a true prodigy. She started writing songs when she was 11 and their first album came out when Haruka was 15. Miyu, the bassist, is only a year older than Haruka and is a phenomenal bass player.

The narrative section of the song uses a quarter-note triplet, which is a trick to make it sound as if it were in 6/8 time signature. I have seen the chord progression here somewhere before, F6-G-Am-Am, and I think the reason why the 6th chord is used is because a triad would sound too simple and a major 7th would sound too elegant. Kanami has a good knowledge of jazz/fusion, blues, funk, etc, so she sometimes uses chords that are not usually heard in a hard rock band. By the way, I would like to congratulate Kanami on becoming an official artist of PRS GUITARS.
