Have a thriving colony of ghost shrimp that i originally bought as betta food. My betta is a nice guy and i now have hundreds of ghosts. My water is harder than mike tyson with morning wood.... im wondering if these guys are profitable. I have tanks from my tetra breeding days. Also have more plants and supplies than i could possibly need. Java moss, pearlweed, jungle val, stem plants, etc. Id love to make some money on these tanks again

I have put 6 full size red claw crabs (2 to 3 in shell) in 47gal tank, even this small tank also then why are to recommending 10 gal tank per crab?. FYI 2-3 in size was shell size, over all will be 4 in if they sit on my adult hand (10 to 15 cm max overall size). don't even tell like it will only grow 3 in max. you have not seen the full size crab in tank. you guys were misleading.

Have had one tank, temporarily, get over-populated with ramshorn snails, years ago, but it only took a couple of weeks of consistent cleaning/removal to get them under control. Generally, though, they've been helpful and, often, entertaining aquatic pets. Particularly like my bladder snail, 'Stanley', who's the clown of my tank. Never know what he'll be up to... grazing pesky algae on plants... 'swimming' upside down along the surface... or taking a ride on the free-floating thermometer... My tank's never been cleaner than with Stanley in it, and he is friendly with, both, plants and animals, which is fabulous, because I've got subwassertang and water hyacinth in there that I don't want anyone nibbling on.

If the glow fish were bread and raised in regular water why would we try and match the water parameters of the natural habitat? Now they have to acclimate to a different water quality. I dont think the breeders are matching their natural environment and neither is Petco. Am I wrong on this?
