Solid off-roading, love the rig’s balance!
Thanks man!
Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I am joking ahahaha😂 … 😐
Excellent work on the install. I just posted in your previous vid on the locker (my 07 120 Prado V6 has the same rear locker installed by a Diff shop over here in Perth) and after watching your custom locker switch install i would like to do the same (my wife knocks the supplied locker switch with her knee sometimes when getting in to drive it which is annoying) How do in contact you to get a hand drawn wiring diagram & were you sourced the necessary parts? Thanks
I sourced my switch through eBay, just search for 80 series locker switch as it has the same switch for prado . As for contact , you can drop me an msg via messenger , neil grace dela cruz
Your video popped up and now subscribed. I am over in Perth and have a Black 2007 GXL V6 Auto with the same Harrop E Locker in the rear diff done a couple of yrs ago and at some point would like to put a locker in the front diff as well. Before this one i had a 2004 white GXL V6 manual trans, so i have driven V6 Prado's for 10yrs now and covered over 600,000kms when combining length of time i have owned and driven both. My 07 black Prado is highly modified and upgraded in every aspect as follows:- Exterior mods - upgraded headlights to black twin binnacle projector LED's high & low beam plus includes LED daylights / upgraded rear tail-lights to more modern LED design but keeping the 120 shape but with smoked indicator & reverse / upgraded factory bullbar indicators to multifunction LED's / addition of Big Red high power LED spotlights for remote night driving / upgraded rear bumper red reflectors to multi-function LED's (park-brake-indicators) / smoked wind defectors to all side doors upper glass area / Upgraded factory hood grille to aftermarket black sports grille (still has the Toyota centre Logo but in black) Interior mods- upgraded head-unit to modern Kenwood touch screen multifunction unit with hands free & bluetooth / upgraded speakers/ all interior lighting upgraded to LED's many other minor mods too numerous to list. (the instrument cluster is also soon to be upgraded to blue LED's to the circuit board / the factory steering wheel is soon to also be upgraded to match the new landcruiser 300 series look with steering wheel controls for head-unit and cruise control function) / Rear cargo area - eco-light twin slide-out drawers and drop down table to rear cargo door / gas strut to rear cargo door. Engine mods - shorties extractors replacing factory cast iron log headers for more efficient cylinder exhaust scavenging + upgraded exhaust to bigger bore S/steel piping and S/Steel sports muffler replacing factory muffler + twin chrome rear tips to finish off the look. Result is increased torque & power & response to to accelerator pedal movement. Engine bay mods - RedArk BCDC dual battery system + REDArk tow system for towing a trailer or caravan etc / Heavy duty Reece rear hitch with adjustable height setting Suspension mods - upgraded springs to HD Kingsprings + upgraded front struts to bigger bore Bilstein struts + Bilstein rear shocks Wheels - upgraded to black Dymanic HD (1,400kg rating per wheel) D-slot dish steel rims 17 x 8" front & rear with Bridgstone Dueler 697 AT's My Prado is maintained to a high standard and looks like it is brand new including the undercarraige as well as the exterior paint & interior cabin and with the upgrades i personally believe it is a better 4wd now than a 150 Prado. I have my own home workshop which is fully equipped with a 2 post hoist and well stocked with tools to tackle any job as iam a DIY guy in every aspect - recently did a Trans flush (3 times), a full brake flush (power flush) & new pads, coolant flush including the engine block drains both sides of the block, New CV boots and new fluid to front diff & transfer case. During overhauling the front CV shafts i noticed my inner hub seals were worn, so i replaced them as they prevent dust and water getting to the wheel bearings These 120 Prado's are easy to work on for any DIY guy as you know and they are a very capable 4wd so no need to spend a lot of money on a newer 150 Prado Enjoy
Thank you for the recommendation but with A-track I’m happy with it. I recently built my 91 4Runner and wheeling it, I can say that so much better off-road . Longer suspension flex, better ground clearance, shorter wheelbase , lighter , narrower, easily accomodate 33s and easily change the diff ratio to 4.88:1 with front locker My 97 120 prado is setup for touring towing off-road camper . I wish I got a hoist like yours so make life easier .
Captured the morning section perfectly 👍
Thanks a ton
Iba talaga sir pag napadpad ka sa tamang lugar, sabi nga nila "Your not poor, your just in the wrong country". Nice video po sir
Salamat!
Boss Neil, sama ako minsan. I plan on going to the Glass house pero wala ako makasama or any experience
Yeah no problem! Add me to your Facebook so we can communicate . neil grace dela cruz
Awesome video man keep it up just subscribed to your channel
Thank you for your ! We really enjoying do it. It’s fun 😉
sir yung nabili ko may resistor pa., yan po parang wala ako nakita
Meron,
Great work mate
Mate, when are you available for wheeling with me at glasshouse? I’m itching to test my rig 😅
Good work. It's always handy to know what to do. 👍
Thank you !
Can you show us how to do a subwoofer in a Toyota cynos?
Hahhaha that was good 20 years or so ago. But I’m still using same amplifier to my 120 prado , I end up installing 3 subs 😂
nag tatagal din po ba yung ganyang tail light na aftermarket?? plan ko din po kasi mag update
Oo , still going strong , parang bago pa hangang ngayon , good quality .
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 ayos ayos., bibili ako para sa 2013 ko na prado, para mag mukhang 2018 hehe
Land cruiser macchina stupenda!Ho un kdj155 e sono molto contento inarrestabile!!
Kdj155 is nice 4wd. We have 2016 vx model and that’s wife daily vehicle , unfortunately I’m not allowed to modify it 😅
Good one. Show us the end results once installed.
Yep, that is my intention , I’m only working on it around 1hr a day only because i got work and family, I already got the e locker installed and fitted to 4wd.
Ano po engine ng 4runner nyo
3vze Pero so far ok pa naman . Medyo mataas na kilometrahe
Good video brother. Where did you get rear those window block outs for the 120.
Thank you! www.solarscreen.com.au
Thanks mate I’m watching your other videos now. I’ve got a 120 VX 2006 model. Great car. Are you guys phillipinos.
@@ToranaA9X308 yes mate, Filipinos living in Brisbane Australia 😁 . Is your vx equipped with traction control ? Mine does and great off-road. I’m now in the process of installing rear locker 😁
Yes mate traction and factory locker and downhill assist which works excellent. I’ve had it in Gippsland Victoria in the state forest and it was the most comfortable car by far on the day. We were joined by 2 D22 Nissans and I’ve been in both and couldn’t wait to get out. Like a farm tractor compared to a 120. Fitting a snorkel next week it’s only been a city car all its life so I’m in the process of turning into a reliable go most places vehicle. Love the phillos great people glad your here ❤
Lucky you if you have the factory rear locker as only an option for vx from factory. Mine comes with Center off lock, down hill assist and traction control. Now I’m installing rear E locker. I will be releasing the video real soon 😁
Hi there, I'm keen to do the same mod, may I ask any drawback on doing this? How did you find with this mod and any issue so far?
No drawback except for the cost for extra switch , wire and fuse. Mods was big in America Toyota FJ Cruiser as they share same system for the prado
No issue until now
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 thank you so much for your promptly reply.
Very easy mods and your prado will become more capable off-road with the mods , just like having triple lock. The problem with factory rear locker is when locked, the front tc turned off and becomes open
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 yea, you're right. Rear locked making front diff open without TRC which makes it kind of pointless locking the rear in some situations.
Love that paint job would love a similar one on my 4runner.
THaNks, love the paint job but needed hood and roof repaint , other than that in good condition
Looks like a good trip was had. Salamat.
It was! My 4Runner performed very well
Donna Pendleton ---It`s beautiful!!! I love nature and having a good time looks like so much fun!!!
We love lake Mackenzie. Fresh, clear water lake in the middle of biggest sand island in the world
Great content. We used your vidz as a guide for possible daytrips from basecamp on our recent trip there (April 15 to 21). Thanks Kuya!
This name change for Frazer island is government bowing to pressure of 3 percent of population which are not country owners, same at voice thing cost tax payers millions.
Nice travel adventure sir.
Thank you for your support!
That 4runner looks mint!! Have fun at Fraser!
Thanks!
Nice Kuya! We're catching the Manta Ray Ferry on Monday 15th April and will stay for 6nights. How many Fuel Jerry's did you bring? And how long was the drive from Hook Point to Eli Creek?
I didn’t bring any Jerry can as my prado have factory long range tank (180L) the other prado got 150L and Pajero got 2 extra Jerry can, I think if you go around 150L fuel and planing to do a lot of driving and smiling should be fine . We already done ngkala, sandy cape. Lake birrabeen, lake McKenzie , waddy point, orchid beach , champagne pool. King fishier and we home after 7pm 😀 every night . Love it . Lots of night driving 😅
From hook point to eli creek is under 2hrs and travel time depends on the tide and traffic and speed.
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 Thanks, that's good to know. How's the March Flies and other insects at this time of the year? Also, aside from King Fisher, did you guys attempt to get to the Western Side of the Island?
Yes, but only me. Nice over the western side, the track entrance is just after wreck Mahino going north. Approximately over 1hr, low tide is a must, couple of deep creek water crossing
How exciting, enjoy your trip 🙂
Thank you! 😃
Nice vlog, hope to see more soon.
Subscribe so you won’t missed any 😉☺️
Probably late April early to may , glasshouse mountain receives a lot of rain lately, they normally close it when too wet, yeah looking forward to go for a ride with you mate 😊
Yeah nice! Let me know when you and your crew visit glasshouse again my Prado 120 is back on the road!
I’m keen for the wheeling mate, I’m just finishing off installing the 120 prado rear locker ,
ahah nice one mate. Its no fun drilling into a perfectly good guard, I measured and re-checked about 5 times when I did mine. Maybe some ppe might be a good look next time, I'd hate for you to be off work because of metal in your eyes
Yeah man, I forgot all about PPE, it was late arvo , last minute install as i have 4wd club trip on the nxt morning. 😂
Watching here from phil👍👍👍
Thank you for your support 😁
lockers?
150 red prado got rear locker and modified traction control so it works together 120 prado just traction control with 80 series rear shocks and extended sway bar links .
What's the front bar on the red prado?
Rhino 4x4 imported from Argentina .
😞 'Promosm'
Thank you for your support! ❤
Great video guys, love seeing you get out and use the rigs!
Thanks 👍
Hey guys loved the video! I'm from Hervey Bay! I hope you enjoyed your stay. My family is filipino as well!! Good to see you exploring!
Thanks so much! 😊
Nice
Very nice
I wish they kept the prado name for the US market. I have a 2005 gx470 and just bought a 2002 sequoia
I also own 120 prado equivalent to gx470 but I wish I comes with v8 like in states. But I’m still happy with the Diesel engine and 47 gallons of fuel capacity.
🎉🎉🎉SUPER❤❤❤
Yeah , some people say that then they realised that it’s a IFS 😅
The bumper and fenders makes it look like an LC 80
Gees! Front LOKKA's are a real game changer. You can really slow down and ease through the obstacles.
Cheap and very easy to install , clicking is only happening when you tried to steer while on 4wd with power on front diff. Awesome from part time 4wd. If I’m going to install locker for the real then E-locker is my choice
Well done! Keen to see how you adjust to driving it with the front Lokka
Thanks mate! Yeah driving it with lokka kinda deferent . I’m thinking to modify it so it can be in two wheel drive when I’m on low range to it would be easier when turning on tight spot .
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 I'm keen to know how you'll do it. Following closely
I realise It easier to put in high range then put in 2wheel drive , even though the hub is locked I can easily steer the steering wheel because there’s no drive on front drive shaft (no pressure on diff) minimal clicking and no effect on steering
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 Nice. I'm not familiar with how the 4runner 4wd system works. I've got a pajero, so there's always drive to the front passenger's wheel even in 2wd mode (there's only a freewheel actuator on front driver's side to release pressure on front diff). I guess I'll have to install manual locking hubs or something.... In any case, I'm keen to see you wheel it!
@@miniNemesisdid watch my latest video? Lockers works very well along with 4.88 diff ratio
Nice, its coming together!
Good Job ! You should also change the steering wheel , its on the wrong side !
My 4Runner located here in Australia and all right hand drive
@@kuyaneillagalag1948 yes I know, I was just joking
