great job and thanks for the video
Hi, how deep do you set your conduit?
About 12 to 16 inches, we also have it supported by the fence. Thanks for watching!
I’ve just took mine apart and I only have 1 set of wires not 2 sets mines 2019 sprinter 314 🤷♂️
Hey Chris, sounds like you don’t have the MBUX audio system with the dual functioning center speaker. You’re good to go, no worries regarding the mid wired harness. Thanks
mis-wired harness…
@@milestonesprintervan-peter9545 my phone volume is terrible when I get on the motorway I’m unable to hear people in a phone call I’m having to use my AirPods
Nice job!
Is there a reason you need that speaker? Thank you.
That’s beautiful, do you have an item list? We’ve been looking at installing some durable panels for ours
Hello, these panels are super easy to build. I’ll be going into a deeper explanation when I post the Power Plant video, stay tuned. Note! Make sure you use the 3M glue, I ran out and used a Harbor Freight Glue and it ruined the panel…. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
@@milestonesprintervan-peter9545 where did you get the ABS plastic panels? I’m wondering where to order that type of material from
@@carolinacanineconsulting6873 In San Jose CA we have Tap Plastics. They have 4x8 foot sheets available. Please keep in mind that ABS plastics expands and contracts with temperature. I used the 3M spray glue and it worked pretty good but I would also consider user a linoleum glue and trowel it on to keep it as tight as possible. Please let me know what you end up doing?
Very nice video! I have the exact same van & plan to do same upgrade. Can I ask , do rear mud-flaps also need to be modified & what is the roof rack you installed
Hey Jason, you don’t have to do anything on the rear mud flaps when installing the larger tires, they fit perfectly. The roof rack and ladder are from Aluminess in Santee CA. We are actually swapping out the existing Safari Rack and installing the new Explorer Rack as it accommodates my Solar design setup. If you’re interested in buying the old rack it’s available?
looks like it still rubbed
Nope! Many bumpy miles and no rubbing…
I think mercedes issued a service bulletin so this component isn’t needed. Four wires need to be swapped. LI82.85-N-071147
Yes they did after we installed the attenuator…. It is discussed and detailed at 4:35 in the video.
Thank you! This clarify a lot of things. To go for bigger tires I’ll need to cut the frame and a lift kit.

Is that Rachel McAdams???
Shh! It’s a secret…😜
flattening the ends of the conduit to facilitate the joinery is a great idea. Would love to see how the trellis is set up and installed.
Rip to the girl who died respect 🫡
Beautiful scenery, it resembles Sedona AZ. Thanks for sharing.
Way contruct something in a place that is not safe in case of torrential rain
Very nice information thank you. I didn’t see any information about how to use the clips or where to buy them.
Hi Floyd, check out the end of the video, there is a picture of the clips (Part Number) that was purchased from Amazon. Also, there are several close up pictures of the clips on the vine and the string, very simple to install. Thanks for watching!
Do you regret planting so close to a tall fence? Seems like by doing so your really limiting the amount of direct sunlight that they get.
Hey Cody, the plants planted next to the fence do better than the ones planted in direct sunlight. Check out the our other video comparing the two locations. It’s really amazing how well they do. The stalks will be 12 to 14 feet long by the end of the season and the fruit is wonderful. Thanks for watching!
By far the best trellis video out there. Well done and I love the flattening the ends of the electrical tubing for fitted pieces.
Thank you!!! We have been very happy with the design and have changed it for different crops. We now have a cucumber wall using the conduit and wire fence, works so great!!! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing. Was finding a cheaper way to grow my tomatoes and cucumbers up. L9ve it.
Any chance I can get a drawing of the trellis design?? Looking to build the same thing!
Hey there, did you check out the follow-on video to this one? It shows the conduit trellis in more detail. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions? Pretty easy to bolt the 10 foot sections of conduit together after smashing the ends in a vise. Thanks for watching!
so the 2 wires in the white now go to the black connector and they go in the same holes on each one?
Yes, swap the wires front to back, back to front. Keep the same wire orientation (grey wire to grey wire, colored wire to colored wire) or the center speaker will be out of phase with the other speakers in the van. Thanks for watching the video!
@@milestonesprintervan-peter9545 Thanks! On the to do list for tomorrow.
Great work guys🎉
Thank you for your detailed video especially showing us where to purchase your accessories. Clips, conduits and how you put them together. I suggest also tells us about watering and fertilizing in you next video. Great looking set up.
Have you guys ever done egg plant with this method?
No, but we love eggplant and you have use thinking now!!!
For some reason I don't think my comment is being posted. Can you reply with an instagram handle or an email?
Hi! I'm an Associate Producer for MTV's Ridiculousness, we'd love to have this on the show! Would you be interested? Thanks
Hi Alina, can you please let me know your email address? Thanks!
Great presentation.
very nice project but the annoying background music is what ruined the experience of watching the whole video...
thanks .. very helpful
Looks great. What was your overall material cost?
Here's a quick temporary fix. Put a folded towel to over the center speaker.
LOL, noise cancelling head phones also work!!! How this problem made it through Mercedes QA for over 2 years is beyond comprehension? Driving out of the Dealer parking lot from picking up the van we noticed it and wanted to turn around, it sounded so awful!
@milestonesprintervan-peter9545 2 years? Try at least 5! I had a 2018 with the issue. There was a MB tech bulletin in 2022 addressing the issue. I now have a 2023 with the exact same deficiency. Go figure.
What's the best method for tying the string? Where on the plant? Do you tighten it as it grows? What type of sting?
Hey Brittany, please re-watch the video and the update video to see the details but we don’t tie the strings to the plants. We have conduit on both the top and the bottom. We purchase the string off Amazon, it standard hemp or jute cord. Here’s the link from our last purchase. Good luck! 👍 www.amazon.com/Natural-Gardening-Industrial-Presents-Decorations/dp/B083P5QGTT
Nice. Was looking for a video on doing this to my van build. I'd do it a little differently by just drilling the wire hole only. The butyl tape and lap sealant (or eternabond tape) should be fine without the 3 additional screws. I just try to minimize any more holes in the roof. Thanks.
Great job Looks professional
Now THAT was a good vid!!! Awesome job!!!
One more question after doing the wire swap: Do you see an "SOS unavailable" message illuminated in red, then turns off after 15 seconds? - I see this on the main MBUX screen at the very top edge on the right, where a few other small icons are displayed. For additional info, I have a 2022 MB, 2023 Revel. Thanks for your help! Switching the wires into their proper connectors has made a huge difference in sound- my only concern is the SOS function.
Hey Catherine, good to hear the wire swap went well and the stereo sounds better!!! The “SOS Unavailable” has nothing to do with the speaker wires, no worries! You get that message when you turn the vehicle on and it is connecting to the over air link or the vehicle has lost the connection (ie in a tunnel for a while). The red light near the SOS button on the ceiling is also illuminated during the sync process. You probably didn’t notice the message before, it happens on all Sprinter vans when you start up the system. Again, awesome job on the swap!!!👍
@@milestonesprintervan-peter9545 You're right, I hadn't noticed before, but was paying close attention after making the wire change!👀
Wow you have a very tidy garden. Looks like the ones you see at the OC Fair grounds. Love the pepper plants they looked amazing. Keep up the awesome job.
Great job!!!
Does the wire position matter if doing the “official fix”? For example if green is on the left of the wrong clip, should it be on the left of the correct clip when I make the swap? Thank you in advance, and thank you for posting this video!!
Hey Catherine, yes! You should keep the colored wires in the same position (i.e. green to purple position and purple to green position, gray to gray). If you cross wired them then the center speaker would be out of phase with the small left and right tweeters and the door speakers. It’s purely a sound quality issue if the wires are crossed. Great question and thanks for watching the video!
Great video! I might have taken this on myself if I'd seen this a few months ago👏
Thanks for watching Larry!
this seems like a lot of work compared to just cutting the edge and using that agile template, and replacing the stock mud flap. Is this solution give you more clearance?? Im getting a new 24 4x4 and I wanna run larger tires
Yes, this fender modification gives you more clearance to install larger tires. There are several different options for the modification and we choose Agile Offroad’s. The before and after clearance is shown in the video.
You just need to switch the wires on the end of the one pin connector. No need for an attenuator - avoid the nightmare. Jehnert also makes a $27 cable that switches it for you but they don’t ship to the U.S.
That is absolutely correct! We added the attenuator prior to Mercedes announcing that they manufactured the speaker pig tails incorrectly. The official fix is at the end of the video and is super simple to rework. Less than 5 minutes effort if you have a dental pick in your toolbox.
Did you fill your entire 18" excated footer with concrete? Or did you use gravel of some kind? Great wall. Thanks.
Yes, we put a layer of gravel on the bottom of the trench before pouring the concrete, maybe 3 to 4 inches (left overs from the pavers). We soaked them with water so they compacted before concrete. Thanks for watching!
Awesome job! both in the mechanics and presentation!! You make it look easy :)
Easy-to-understand tutorial and visuals make this easy to follow. Thanks, Peters’ Projects!! 👍
what if the suspension is suspending. it's gonna rub ...?
After 2K plus miles, Highway, bumpy dirt roads, switchbacks, with loaded weight, the wheel wells don’t show a single rub mark. I think we’re good! 👍 Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this thorough explanation and walk-through. Easy to understand video tutorial with clear graphics gives me the confidence I need to tackle this job myself. Nice work!!
Nice work, Susan. Great choice on the Black Rhino wheels. Everything looks so much better with the new wheels/tires. Also glad to hear you two didn't have to compromise road noise and performance.
She did all that while wearing wedding ring and no grease or dirt under fingernails! 😂
It helps that my husband pressure washed the wheel wells and tires before starting the project. Thanks for watching!!!👍
