Always happens to my new uploads. I think that's RUclips new default algorithm to prevent them from loosing money.

I've been so busy just looking at the views, that I didn't consider impressions! My impressions dropped by 98.6% from their peak on July 17th with over 55k impressions in a single day. Now I'm averaging about 764 impressions per day. I've been trying to release shorts more quickly just to appease myself so the views don't drop below 100 per day.

1000 views total from two shorts, and it suddenly stopped. I needed this, this was confusing. I need 3k to of course, achieve something related to the content I make, but I couldn’t reach it before after I fell off. Hopefully I can now.

I think one of the main problems is sharing your videos with your friends, one would think this is a good idea but your friends might be a different type of audience unrelated to your channel and your channel gets recommended to those viewers

The problem is not the video or thumbnail youtube change something with algorithm and they ruined most channels I think they don't notice this problem them self...

So another thing to add that I have noticed from between my channel and my partners channel (that is doing very well) is that, it DOES do that, but there seems to be another pattern. That at first, there is a threshold of the maximum youtube will test your video. Mine currently is at about 500 (for shorts; longform takes longer to see any patterns as it has a slower start). and it may reach that faster than others but always is around 500, and the maximum time it could take is at the 10 hr mark. Then it flattens out and youtube stops pushing it out as fast, or at all. And what was noticed on my partners channel who is a couple months of progress ahead of me, is that he too had like a start at like 500 lets say. and then the more he uploaded, the algorithm slowly started putting the test trial on longer and then his new threshold would be 1000 views. RUclips definitely favors people who can upload all the time. The more he uploaded, the more the threshold would go up. Now it's all over the place, where his base views are fairly high, and the algorithm has figured out some niches, so sometimes some videos will get thousands and be what feels like viral for a small channel. I'm keeping that in mind for my own channel. And I figured out for me I should upload everytime the video starts to slow down in views, which is usually about every 6-10 hours. I'm hoping if I keep feeding frequent videos when youtube is done promoting, I will benefit the most without over working myself, compared to my partner who basically uploads 20 times a day, which works for his kind of content, but is not achieveable for others depending on the content they are making. I think why uploading more helps is because with each upload, more people see it. if they liked and watched, youtube may recommend other videos of yours to them, which may slowly, or quickly if your lucky, get more views and potentially better retention, which then pushes you into a different higher threshold. I hate this new algorithm. I liked it better back in like 2014 before it did a 360.

I just started and 1st video got 3 views 2 video got 4000 viees then 3 one got 2000 views then then 4,5,6 got no view then 7 video got 7k views them 8 got 12k views and now its getting no views it has really good retention rate on the viral videos. Plz help😢😢

hey cleo so my recent video has a retention rate of 45% and 10.4% click through rate but it slowed way down at 2000 views do you have any idea why, there is 4 drops off 10% in retention at different places could that be why also first 30 seconds retention drops 25%

Sir please reply my question! my RUclips channel with gmail account on my phone. Similarly my younger sister has her channel with her gmail account on her mobile. My channel is monetized with adsense account on my phone which is connected to my bank account. My sister channel has yet not monetized as not reached the requirement. Now sir we both upload our videos mostly from my computer as the landline internet is fast here. We use to sign in to our gmail account and after uploading video we sign out. We both have linked this one computer to our phones. Now my question is this will there be problem for my sister with adsense account. Because I am worried that as we use same computer to upload videos than may be when my sister apply for her new adsense account, they may say that "you already have an adsense account, connect to that". But my sister want to have her own adsense account to connect to her own Bank account. So will be there a problem as we both use same computer and its internet to upload videos on our separate channels on separate phones?

I feel like the click through rate is critical, when my videos get higher than 3% clickthrough they actually go somewhere. At 1-2,% they might get views for a while but then die flat

Ey man thanks for the tips. Now the part where you said you have to be on the same niche. I used to make Minecraft videos now i make all sorts of games like first person shooters and all that stuff. But it's still gaming of course. Do u think that will confuse the algorithm or not?

Cleo, firstly my videos are based on different themes, so I have a wide variety of them, Some satire, others biblical plays, and nature. Many of them have eye catching thumb nails and contain quality content. Over ten years Ive uploaded about 60 plus original videos and if Im lucky I may get one thumbs up a month let alone comments and subscribers. I honestly would like some one to view some of my videos and give me their honest opinion, because its got to the point that I feel I have been shadow banned or some one pulling the strings or hacking me, and dont want my videos on YT unless Im kept faceless. Furthermore I rarely get a response from a video maker when I ask a question, any question ,which again feels conspicuous.

What about the residence that can be set in the settings? Should that be the actual residence, or should I change the residence to the United States?

I had a gears video and it was 5 mins of watch time on average and everything seems fine. But I guess RUclips wanted to stop it.
