I agree wholeheartedly but these programs feed off the insecurities of parents and the elite status of their kids…thereby creating competitive imbalances that are ridiculous. My kid is a good player on a decent team and begging to go to some super team and I just have to tell him “no.” I have 4 kids that all play sports and know that many programs are kinda predatory. Teams that don’t have the word “development” in their vocabulary are in it for themselves.
