maybe you should've thrown it out the dry and you wouldn't have left the stone 8 at the end. so annoying to watch. the one messenger u threw it out the most. that ball needs to be at 5 every shot
My opt idol Pearl seems really slow on the backend and leaves lots of flat 10s when I miss outside a touch. Summit peak leaves a lot of 10 pins when I miss outside as well. Both balls seems to stop continuing through the pins. Do you think this would be better at kicking out the 10?
I personally think so, as it’s the most angular of the 3 balls.
nice rolling
Another great video! The colors remind me of the Spectre... does it roll similar? That was favorite ball!
It does kinda look like it! I have it much stronger, but very similar overall shape.
Love the looks and reaction
Nick great bowling ball video thanks!!😊
Do you find yourself going a little stronger on the pin placement on symmetric balls? 4.5-4 3/4?
@@stormb28 I tend to use 4 3/4” to 5” on most syms. 5” to 5 1/4” on asyms. 4 1/2” and below are used on low diff balls. I have 5 main layouts. 2 pin down and 2 pin up layouts, and then a tricked tall pin for certain balls.
Any suggestions for a ball a step below phase ai ? For the 123 punch.
For me, it’s either an IQ Tour Ruby or a Road Warrior. If you want a larger separation between the Phaze AI and the ball below, I’d go with the Road Warrior. If you want less separation, I’d go with the IQ Tour Ruby. Both phenomenal balls. Can’t go wrong with either of them.
Amazing ! I though you would be throwing from lane 25 and still strike
Nice job Nick you described it great. Hey Nick would a slower speed player like myself would it work. I have to throw hy roads, Road Warrior and black tropical surge because the nine places i bowl low volume and high friction. Thank you 😊.
I think this one needs volume. It’s very early. You may be fine to use it, if you took the surface up to 3k or 4k. The core inside wants to get down the lane, but that cover wants to read and dig in.
Hey Nick, Hope you have a good night.. Good Bowling man…
Nick great bowling ball video thanks !!😊
I agree Nick. Great video!
beautiful shot!
여기는 한국이고, 나는 당신의 영상을 흥미롭게 봅니다. 노력에 감사합니다 :)
You drill a new ball. You make a video of it. You make the new ball look like the best ball available. You put away the ball and never use it again...close?
@@Ken-Kong I drill balls for tournaments. It’s rare I drill a ball to use in league. 🤷♂️
Lol. I got it. Was joking around about your reviews. you throw every ball so beautifully, but, rarely use them. 😂
@@Ken-Kong i gotcha lol. I do use them, I just don’t happen to post an honor score with them. I’ll try harder! 😂🙃
Layout?
@@stormb28 full review coming!
Is the 900 Global Zen 25 a ball up or ball down from the Storm Crossroad?
@@Henjin7672 that’s an old one for sure.. it’s definitely a step up.
This might be a dumb question but I have a Phaze 2 and a phaze 4 you think it’ll be the same or different to put power edge on either one ? Thank you
@@colorado_koolaid2625 it will certainly change the reaction of both!
I’m working on keeping my shoulders squared “for the most part” at my finish
Nick great bowling ball video thanks 😊
I gotta drill one
My house shot is very high friction. My optim idol burns up and doesnt move much downlane. Would i probably experience the same with this this Focus?
Probably even more so. It’s earlier and smoother than the Optimum. Look at an Optimum Idol Pearl or the new Zen 25.
Hyper Cell? Or Hyper Cell Fused?
The OG!
Similar to your IQ tour?
Not at all. This has the nucleus core with a strong cover so it’s very grabby. The iq floats down the lane, while this digs in.
Similar shape.. but about 3 balls stronger in the bag.
Do you think this would be good for a lower rev bowler (180-230) with higher oil volume?
Absolutely!
I have a question, what is your opinion on the comparison of the summit ascent and the ion max on this occasion?
The Summit Ascent is a good step down from the Ion Max!
How’d you surface the balls before putting power edge on?
500 grit, hold down firm for 30 sec than 1000 grit, hold down with light pressure for 10 sec
Personally, I used 500 then 2,000. Then finished with Power Edge. Storm follows the same steps as mentioned by Cesaralvarez3298.
@@NickBrownOfficial02 appreciate it
Nice video
I'm so torn between these two balls. Right now, I'm using a BW 3.0 and the Hammer Effect. I want to add one of these two balls. I'm torn.....
If you want more hook left to right, Phaze AI. If you want something smoother and more controllable. Optimum Idol Pearl!
I want to try this on my Wolverine Dark Moss, should I hit it with a certain grit pad(s) before doing so?
500-1,000 and Power Edge.
@ Thank you I’ll give it a shot!
@@stever6885did you try it on the dark moss yet?
@@colorado_koolaid2625 I did and I really like it on that ball a lot. Very clean and not overly snappy on the back end like Reacta gloss might be. I don’t like it as much tho on my Exotic Gem.
Will the s2 get weaker after a while i got one recently and its super strong and sull out of box will its strength get midler after a 200 games or so?
It’s not a strong cover. Mine has probably 40ish games on it and it’s gotten better since it has gotten more games on it.
@NickBrownOfficial02 alright sounds great thanks
Did you lay it out like a normal ball with a max flare/ max hook layout or just do pin in palm. Because i am looking into getting one my self for the burn i bowl on .
It’s just a typical pin straight up. It does have a very small core. So, it’s good when there’s a ton of friction and you can square up to it.
U a machine 🤯
How do you think the Sublime Focus would or wouldn’t be?
Slightly smoother than the Phaze 2. Core is less dynamic and the coverstock is slower response too.
Should I use this for a clone I just drill one today and I was bad
I betcha, it would get a lot of lane time for you!
Nick great bowling ball video thanks 😊
So should I use it on my storm..physix...?
Virtue bowling supply has a video about that.
I’ll be trying it on the PhysiX Blackout, soon!
@NickBrownOfficial02 ok please do a video on that...
I put it on my IQ Emerald after resurfacing. I hated Reacta Gloss because I always had to add surface to any polished ball to get the reaction that I want. It hooks in the oil now without adding surface. I did the same thing to my Vebo and it's gone from a ball I rarely used to one of my favorites. I like it!
Power Edge is the only polish I know, that actually hooks and keeps hooking in oil. It’s amazing!
Can confirm it's pretty good. I had my 2024 Hy-Road run into some Power Edge and no complaints. I haven't thrown Reacta Junk and don't plan to.
Nick, how would it work on balls that typically use compound ? I have an outer limits pearl im thinking of. Ill definitely use it on my journey and VEBO.
Completely remove the current compound/polish. Take the ball down to 500, then hit it with 1,000. Then use Power Edge. This polish can be used on any ball. Regardless of manufacturer..
That power edge polish is the Best Let's see if on a Phase 3 and Trend 2 and pro motion balls ❤🎉😊
See it not if 😂
It’s the best!
How does power edge and smooth edge differ I really like smooth edge it is way better then reacta gloss
I personally haven’t used Smooth Edge. As I mentioned, I’m not a fan of polish generally. But after throwing several balls with Power Edge, I was convinced to use it on more balls. I’m glad I did!
If i understand it all correctly it goes rough edge smooth edge then power edge with rough edge being the earliest and power edge the longest
@@rah0210That makes sense because in testing all 3 on two different balls, the smooth edge was my best reaction and continuation by far. I tested all 3 polishes on the IQ Ruby and Hammer Scorpion Strike.
It must not clog the pores in the urethane like ReactaGloss.
Bingo!
I put power edge on my IQ tour Ruby and through my very first 300 with it! I’m a believer for sure It revived my Eternity as well!
Awesome! Congrats on 300! Power Edge is the way!!
Never really messed with polish much can you just polish it by hand or do you need to surface it with a sanding pad first
I think 500-1000 then polish is Factory
Yea you gotta put surface on your ball first so the polish fills it in or else your just putting it on a shined surface and defeats the purpose
Polishing it by hand doesn’t exactly work. You can put polish on it, but to get the surface shiny. It requires a ball spinner. The polish and coverstock must get hot enough, to shine it.
@@NickBrownOfficial02can you use a drill with a polish pad?
Question: why use a spare ball to hook?
If they’re so dry, that you can use a spare ball. It gives you the best entry angle and the most room for error.
