Cat exam required?, but I have practical experience, but the catch is in academics, that I'm not able to comprehend in abundance, you see teachers still teach us horizontal balancesheet rather than virtual one is vertical, and whennit comes to economics, one of my lecturer said that petrol is an example of price inelastic need, which is not truely right, because if the petrol rate goes down by 50%, the number of bus passengers will go down and the number of private vehicles will go up, but as per my assumption salt' would be perfect example for it, u see if salts rate goes down for 50%( same as given for petrol) then that doesnt mean people shall consume in abundance🧠

Take Inputs from Leaders Through Zoom Call (Paid if you wish) where experienced people are involved and student can take right decision regarding their college selection (I am convinced SSB is backed by Visionary leader, but for others it may take time in believing)

Suggestions: Take all valuable Inputs from Experienced people Through a Zoom call and Provide Clarifications where required, where everybody feels satisfied as they are involved for their value add suggestions (As it definitely attracts them to be part of it)

When it comes to learning, Scalar’s DSML program is excellent. I joined the program purely because of Srikant Verma (I would have taken the AppliedAI course, but by the time I decided, Scalar had acquired AppliedAI). My intent was only to learn from Srikant Sir’s lectures, thats all nothing else. During my almost 1.6 years of study so far, I can say that I learned a lot. They have good instructors, and if learning is your only intent, this is surely a very good place. I highly recommend it if learning is your sole purpose and you want some handholding to get started. I completed the DSML and MS through their association with Woolf earlier this month (we were the 1st batch of their Masters Program). I don’t care much about the degree, but if I get something complementary to my 2 years of effort, it doesn’t hurt. Why are they good for learning? The only reason, based on my experience, is this: if you are very new to the field, this would help you as they start from ground zero. They teach each and everything line by line, almost spoon-feeding (which is not very good to be very honest, but if you can take it in a positive way and learn beyond that, your can extract the best out of scalar). Can we compare this with IIT, IIM, SU, MIT, etc.? Absolutely not. First of all, it’s very sad in our middle-class society (thanks to all of us, myself included, and all coaching centers for IIT/GATE/etc.) that we’ve created a narrative that if you get a seat at IIT, you will get a very good job. The fundamental idea of IIT is not to teach students to get a job (for that we have many XYZ vocational training schools/bootcamps), but to teach them so thoroughly that they can build something new, research something innovative, and contribute to society (a job is just a minuscule outcome, which unfortunately overshadows everything). Our society trains us from childhood to become an employee for a company for life. No wonder why companies worldwide look to India for resources. But I am so glad things are changing and our next generation would be surely different. In the US, there is no concept of placement. Everyone is responsible for getting their own job (or whatever they wish to do as part of their income stream after they graduate). If Scalar or any such institute is so great and bridges the gap, then: 1. Why do they have to advertise, and why do we see marketing emails/calls all over the place? 2. How many faculty members are Scalar students? Most of them are from IITs or other top-tier colleges. 3. Why on earth do they have a referral program for existing students if they allow others to get into Scalar? My point is that a “good seller never sells.” :) My recommendation is that if anyone wishes to ONLY learn, they can surely join Scalar (I don’t know about the Software Engineering program, but I can speak for the DSML program as I am a student). I am very happy with the instructors, syllabus, projects, etc. But if you are looking for job assurance and other things, think a couple of times before joining. I am not saying you won’t get placement assurance-you will (many in our batch did)-but do your own homework before joining. Don’t drain your or your parents’ hard-earned money. If anybody is working and wishes to move to ML, the DSML program is great. But to take the learning further, I would recommend courses like CS229, CS224, CS231, etc. After the DSML program, these courses would make way more sense and you can digest much more. Always remember, any good institute, whether in India, the US, or anywhere else, has a selection criteria and there is a right reason for it, they expects a basic understanding from every student. If you take any course in any of these institutes, they will directly jump into the problem. Institutes like Scalar, on the other hand, are meant for everyone else, starting from scratch. All the very best if you are taking your first step towards your learning (no matter where), always remember "Just stick with it…what seems so hard now will one day be your warm up" :)

IIT no marketing > private institute aggresive marketing Watch out ppls, education can be obtained through values, more than marketing and sales one should ask peer who passed out of that institution, any institution whi does marketing rise eye brows and research. Don't fall for founders words from edited videos created by top paying marketing ppls in field watch out !!

I haven't seen any this institute accreditation, so aspiring student should check before enroll.
