This video just makes me want to evolve the shiny chingling I got in legends. It's a nicer shiny than I thought. And also why I don't hunt in the friend safari. I prefer methods where I can either 100% get it once I find it or/ have a high chance of catching it. I hope you saved twice or it never happened. Thats the shiny hunter rule.

I only ever really hunted for a shiny charmander in fire red by resetting. It took me EIGHT MONTHS of on and off attempts so I decided that shiny hunting wasn't for me. I like it more when I randomly find one anyways, it feels more special. HOWEVER, the first ever shiny I found was a Croagunk in Pearl back at release and guess what happened? Kid me was....unhappy to put it lightly.
