Mark and Brian Moments
Добавлен 15 фев 2024
Mark and Brian were a morning radio team that started in 1986 in Birmingham, AL. In 1987 they got picked up by KLOS in Los Angeles. For over 25 years they had fun being themselves on the air. They took a stronghold in the morning radio market, being in the top 5 shows over their tenure, most of the time being number one. Being syndicated in 21 cities, they had a huge fan base. To this day, there are masses of Mark and Brian fans. This channel is for them (us). Over the years, I have taped or downloaded their shows and clipped tons of bits, interviews and stunts. I hope you enjoy these moments!

I’ve been a local stagehand since September 22, 1985 (farm aid) and been fortunate enough to work with so many fantastic performers and as a huge music fan as well I’ve found myself in some once-in-a-lifetime situations- one such instance was an impromptu onstage rehearsal Barry Manilow had in 1986-87 between sound check and house opening.. and I was blown away with how he worked with the musicians in the band-very fast, clear instructions, always respectful and appreciative and you could tell he knew exactly what he wanted to hear and he knew precisely how to get it. Major appreciation for the man and his talents. As a kid growing up the 70s, I had more than a few Barry Manilow LPs and each time I’ve had an opportunity to work one of his shows I’ve been impressed. The real deal.
I remember hearing this on air and am cracking up now as much as I did then. So wonderful to hear it after all this time.
Thank you! Been wanting to hear the first visit again for years!
I hope you play Elf-vis and the Yeti skit. Use to wait every year just to hear this Skip and laugh my butt off.
Elfis was always a fun visit. I hope this is the one you might be looking for: ruclips.net/video/9UdWXIIJc2E/видео.html
Hi Brian. Howdy from Ramona. 😅
Lol!
Just when I think you've topped yourself out, again, surprise; I play the fool. Brilliant Brian. To play for our Senior Vets, replays on occasions at the newly formed concept (today) of Cafes for Vets... will add levity at certain times for our elders, showcasing pre-choosen bits both of you think they may enjoy. I give you non gratis. You work the financials and rights. I thank you for your brilliances. I'll keep in touch. Forever yours, Michi.😂
I used to work the switchboard for KLOS during these years for Nurse Susan. I often worked the afternoon drive time with Gino Michellini and into the Steve Downs show but also worked stage security for the very first mark and Brian Christmas show. It was an amazing time to be at KLOS when they were still on La Cienega Boulevard. I also worked a few BC shows but he was never in the studio with us switchboarders.
Now was elected a man and his friends who do not tolerate any kind of diversity. Not only will the children in our ghettos continue fighting off the rats that chew on their bodies as they try to sleep, walking to school dodging gun fire, trying to learn in asbestos decaying classrooms and not knowing when or if they will eat they endure our silence. We the people can save them despite being told they are sub-humans and don't deserve our help or compassions. Who are the sub-humans? End Hatred Now. M
Very nice.
Great! I had forgotten you did marry each other in Vegas. I'm in. My new handle: "Princess Tinsel Town" and yes, Bed sounds great. I could use a small vacation. Please don't confuse me with "Princess Tinsel Toes". Fish sticks for everyone. Your Loving Friend. M ❤🎉😊
Love your clips!!! Got the you made us do it Carl's jr??
Make sure you follow Brian's new podcast, "Be Good Humans". Back date and look at all fourteen. You'll see we all mature though not entirely. Let's take joy from the past as we forge into the future. With joy, hope, courage and thoughtfulness. Mark and Brian - Forever. Thank you all that keep their flame alive. Michele❤
Didn't they usually have the real joke and tell it back to Steve, and he (Mark) would start laughing hysterically?
Yeah, loved it when Steve would laugh at the true joke!
BIG fan of Mark and Brian! Do you recall or have the time when Brian was experimenting his voice? The question was can he be heard screaming like in a bank vault or a ambulance driving by? It was way early back in 92 or 91. Thanks for posting memories!
I myself missed the Bank Vault experiment, hopefully I'll catch that one listening through the Archive. I do have the Ambulance experiment: ruclips.net/video/uwZQ-ivH04o/видео.html My favorite part is how excited Mark got when he heard Brian over the siren!
The wheel came off
Always love it when they broke the 4th wall!
I missed this bet so much. Thank you for putting it back to share.
You are so welcome! I always loved it when Brian did the old man characters.
Why do you write the date in such a strange manner??? I’ve asked / commented a few times, wondering why you choose that strange way of writing the date, and have yet to read a reply. My guess is you’re a foreigner. When in Rome, do as the Roman’s do. I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s strange.
06/13/2012
LOL who the hell wants this.....
12-03-1991 Is the correct way to write a specific date. Get it together. If you don’t know how to properly write a date the correct way, just say so.
95.5 KLOS remember that station, used to listen to them all the time
Thanks for posting this. Been looking for this years. I was 17 and remember this on the radio in 2007 and keeling over laughing so fuckin hard.
I never could get enough of the Soup Guy!
I'm still laughing my butt off! Ha Ha Ha Ha !
Steve tells the best jokes!
07-08-1988 Not, 1988-07-08 What are you, new? Foreigner? Why do you keep writing all the dates like that?
Why dont you just worry about yourself?
Check out the Christmas and birthday shows
More please 😊❤
Oh yes, there is so much more to come!
It’s 03-16-2011, not, 2011-03-16, what are you, a foreigner?
I'll get right on changing my entire filing system for you.
Wow.
The Penguin. What joy to hear. Thanks. m❤
You are so welcome!
🤣
How about some miniature theater?
There is lots of Miniature Theaters in this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLXKxYT-vOnqDk0Ds27eFhGEl8Vxw6e1Pj And much more to come!!!
Thank you for this post!!! I grew up listening to theses guys before school;, after high school and well into being an adult ❤
You are so welcome! There is nothing like them!
@@MarkandBrianMoments My husbands Bosses are Mark and Brian so everyday I think of the Legends !
Simply irresistible.🎉❤😂
Amazing.
I guess Steve didn't come with them in Bel Air, in the end 🤷♂: ruclips.net/video/Of3FcciqKdA/видео.html
Tongue in cheek for sure gents
Ahhh the fun zone at KLOS ......GOOD TIMES.....
Living legend 👍
"WAFFLES"....True listeners will know what I mean..
Stop recommending - they’re repeating
Hope to find the rest of the interview someday…😕
🙏
The younger me would have believed Don the Con's every word.
Do you have any nostalgic clips of that famous burper girl? She was great if I remember....
Not sure if this is the girl you are talking about, but I have a clip of Listener Michelle challenging Chuck to a belching contest: ruclips.net/video/AOIU-JN6sYw/видео.html They had her come to the Xmas show that year to have a burping contest on stage. I also have another clip of a burping girl, Emily, from 2010: ruclips.net/video/AOIU-JN6sYw/видео.html I hope one of those is what you are looking for!
NINE HITS! THIS IS GOING VIRAL!!
Oooo! it's up to 10!!! it's climbing the charts!
Sat in my car many times late for work to finish listening to one of their bits. Brian was such a great writer and although campy, did great accents. The Bozo bit, the DJ getting drunk on the air and most of all the special message from Frank Sinatra every Christmas makes me miss them so much. Something from the junk drawer?
Glad you are digging the nostalgic fun these clips are giving you! Yeah, Frank Sinatra always seemed pissed: ruclips.net/video/w0HoWdjNUsQ/видео.html
Happy birthday
You should add the show date in the description of these. Great channel.
Hello, Thanks for the kudos on the channel. I wish I could date all of these, but I taped so many of them off of 'past moment' shows so I don't know the dates of them. All the stuff I've been clipping off of the M&B Archive page are dated. I dig having them dated so much more! Sorry for the lack of description, I'm not much of a writer (which is why all of them have the same cut-and-paste info in the description) so I try and sum it up in the title.
@@MarkandBrianMoments I love that you are doing this. Are you from the So Cal area and listened to them growing up?
I did grow up in So Cal, but I actually didn't actively start listening to them until 2000. I had moved out of state for most of the 90's and when I came back, I was a daily listener.
