i like how here it has more of a western sound to it, never even thought of that for this song!

this video is better than the live version from punch brothers youtube channel. the 'official' one is good, audio is mixed and mastered. it's very polished, very professional. but sometimes just the raw live audio is better. you can really hear the dynamic swells. perfectly filmed too, just put all the musicians in frame and recorded. and of course, unreal cover of a great song. amazing video. youtube masterpiece.

My wife and I waited 20 years to see them, me even longer than that, since the 90s. We finally saw them in Bowling Green, KY in 2024. I was worried they may have lost some magic...they werd the best they couldve ever been. It was a bucket list thing and we were blown away. Greatest traveling musicians ever.

This was a great show and this was my favorite song that they played.

WOW. I'd seen quite a few of these but for a while kept concluding that DC's was the best rendition (disclaimer, I was there).... ...but this, four months on, went somewhere I'm still shaking from.

This was such an unforgettable show... saw them in Montreal in October. This edition (wink-wink) of the BEAT tour is over, they added a few dates in S. America (way to go, fan pressure!! :), but if ever you get a chance to see these 4 masters play together, even if they're gonna do the Alphabet song, DON'T MISS THEM!! ❤‍🔥💐

Extremely Impressive. Saw the show in Albany. Amazing since I saw the original lineup in '83. Killer seats ya had. I had 5th row. Could've had 1st row....but the price of a ticket went up $200. LOL

While we’re justifiably creaming over Vai, I need to point to AB’s masterful solo at 7:30. It is so tasteful and perfect, building organically on Fripp’s ideas. Not a wasted note. (Alternatively: Belew obeys the Torah while Vai, like Onan, spreads his seed upon the ground.)

I saw this performed live at the Palace Theater in St. Paul MN Dec. 13, 2024-Blown away. So glad I got to see it live!

I hate to be the skunk at the picnic, but I miss the tight ensemble of the original band. Every video I’ve seen of BEAT is ragged. At first I thought it was Vai, but I think it’s Belew after seeing this. And shockingly, sometimes Levin seems to float against the drums (not in this one, obvi). Of course, a real board mix would help a lot. With KC everything fit like a glove live.

I'm glad Vai and Belew have started playing over each other like in the old Crimson instead of waiting for each other to finish soloing.

I mean, good heavens. I've watched almost every version of this song on the Beat tour on RUclips, and each one is just a f-ing delight.
