I live near some of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. They are more like inland seas. Many ocean going freighters have sunk during storms on these ‘lakes’. (See The Great Lakes. Look at Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Park). I will look up more about your city. I do like the mountains and I drink tea and not wine, so the rich people can have the expensive wine, lol 😆 Some day if conditions are right I will visit your city and try the food, drink the tea, hike some trails, and visit the Temples. Personally I am interested in Chinese Mythology, Daoism, I-Ching (The Book of Changes), Chinese Tea Culture, Chinese Buddhism, Lau Tzu, The Immortals, and Chinese philosophies. I understand some of the past history and why China developed as it is today. I am thankful that there are cultural exchanges and I hope to help build bridges of peace. I think everyone wants to live in peace and prosperity. People are people everywhere. I also think that sharing music, food, art, and philosophy helps unite people together. Someone on another channel mentioned that gardening is in the Chinese spirit. That is why China is so green. If this is so, I like that very much. Growing plants is a type of meditation and connects a person with nature. Thank you again for sharing and all the best to you! Cheers!

      Thank you very much for liking my video. You know, China has a large population, so usually. The population of cities or towns in China is relatively larger compared to other countries. You’re very welcome. Yes I do understand China is a huge country with a massive population. Your province has more people than some countries! I live in Michigan, with a population of about 10 million. The US is about 330 million people. I believe China is 1 billion people or very close to that number. So I understand your area is small compared to other Chinese cities. It’s good you are sharing as many people have the wrong impression about China and Chinese people. Yes you understand correctly. The States are actually like small to medium sized countries and together the states have a population of about 330 million. There are different accents here but for the most part you can still understand each if you speak English. The UK is different as there are actually some forms of English there I don’t understand and in fact some people from the UK don’t understand Cockney either. I think if people are patient enough they can get beyond a language barrier. I know a little Spanish but I am not fluent and I was able to become friends with Mexicans. I'm waiting for the CCP to get enough courage to name an aircraft carrier as the Taiwan......isn't it the best way to state that taiwan is a "province" of China??? I know some would argue that taiwan is "not important enough" but I would argue that the fate of unification is China's most important task for the next decade. If the CCP cannot resolve the unification of taiwan with mainland China, then the CCP's legitimacy and right to one party rule would be directly threatened. So think about it. Or maybe the CCP doesn't want to name an aircraft carrier as Taiwan because they have no real desire to recover taiwan???? Just doing the useless military exercises for show to placate the Chinese people?

    • @pelayocf4558
      @pelayocf4558 Месяц назад

      I don’t think it’s that important. Yes, you are right that if the CPC surrenders Taiwan to the American Empire the legitimacy and credibility of the CPC would be severely damaged. I wonder how long they can wait to unify the island keeping the eternal promise of reunification alive and credible. Although no concrete dates have been provided (I believe it is not convenient to reveal them in order not to lose strategic advantage), we have seen that the government is carrying out concrete actions that clearly aim at achieving this objective in a realistic way. It is clear that China cannot simply try to regain the island now that it is occupied by a foreign power with far superior military capability (experience, technology and military budget). But the People's Liberation Army has adopted a strategy that it has been implementing consistently for several decades. It is evident that the building of its modern military forces has been focused above all on this objective: for example, they have built the largest naval fleet in the world, which is the most important part of the army for the recovery of the island, and have channeled research investment above all into the development of weapons that can provide a strategic advantage against the American Empire in a cross-strait war. Such is the case of the DF-26 hypersonic missile (the aircraft killer) or drones such as the WZ-7, among others, and there are many more on the way. I believe that such actions with significance are far more important in demonstrating the commitment of the Chinese people and the legitimacy of the CPC to the reunification of the nation than naming a ship after Taiwan, as you suggest (which could be done, but I repeat, is of no great significance). I have no doubt that American decline will continue and that eventually China's pressure in the region will be such that the US will have to reduce the size of its empire in that area by withdrawing from Taiwan. There will come a point when the power differential will be so great that the mainland will not have to fire a single bullet to wrest the island from American hands. In the end all wars, hot or cold, are fought by attrition. The countries with greater capacity (economic, industrial, technological, etc.) will sooner or later end up recovering the place they deserve.

    • @lagrangewei
      @lagrangewei Месяц назад

      if Taiwanese businessman are willing to sponsor it. the ship name is worth abit of money, the cities would "donate" to the navy to have the ship named after them. every dollar saved is a dollar that can be spend on other weapons. the navy doesn't just name things for political reason.

    Oh a question, what do you do with the tea leaves, do you sell them or do you keep them and it would have been interesting to see you pick them and explain how they are stored and used , all the best from James

    Good morning Shi, thank you so much for such a lovely video of your childhood village, especially nice how you explained everything, the rice and the tea growing, your dead relatives graves and the festival was very emotional and lovely, and pay no attention to anyone who complains about your English speech, you are doing fine and it's good because you speak slowly, be great if you can do simple words and sentences mixed in with your videos so we can learn a little Chinese, much respect to you from James in England

    Good morning Shi, I think it's around 7.30 in the morning, Chongqing area , I enjoyed your explanation of how mandarin language started , it would be nice if you could teach us some basic mandarin language, words and simple sentences please, but you would have to keep it simple and only a little at a time, all the best from James in England

    Way to go!👍Good explanation for those who don't understand Chinese dialect. I am a Malaysian Hakka when I go to mainland China, I speak "Putonghua/Mandarin/普通话" but some of the older generation do not understand Putonghua/Mandarin, especially in rural areas.
