Chasing the Sun
Добавлен 13 янв 2014
A family out Chasing the Sun and discovering new horizons.
Driving through British Columbia on CA1.
Fantastic scenery and surprisingly, more of a high plains/desert flora fauna than expected. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive and saddened we couldn’t spend more time to explore.

Thank you, the only video have I found that shows how it is stowed and it's stowed size. Very important for an RV'r to know before buying.
Great video - Thanks! I wanted to point out that The grease trays do go in that outside pocket - I think they need to be oriented a certain way to fit properly. Putting them in the main bag will scratch the grill body badly.
Keren ka perjalanan nya dan tebing nya indah ❤❤❤
Thank you. Zion has my heart.
You never show the burners , so , your vedeio sucks !
Great job.. these things are fun but constant work, you guys took on a big project thank you for sharing this
Thank you. I wish we had remodeled it more like what you did as far as the roof. I was concerned about it withstanding highway speeds and high winds when popped up. It ended up being too heavy although very substantial. It was in extremely bad condition when we adopted it. So much was hidden until we were able to get into it. Yours looks awesome 😎
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
We are lookin for our first outdoor griddle but can’t part ways with our grates so this is nice. My only concern is the lack of heat zones for the griddle. Is it easy to balance cooking and warming with only 1 burner on each side? Also, how do you cover the griddle when not in use?
Yes because it’s a small enough cooking surface that it heats the entirety of it up very nicely. If you have a small family this would be ideal. If however, you have a larger family or like to entertain it would be too small. We found that we didn’t care for the grill box at all and have since removed it. I now is that burner to cook woks or extra pans on. It also works great to lay a larger cutting board on to use as a counter area. After all this time I really enjoy this model.
@@Chasingthesun2019 I appreciate the quick response. We are a family of 4. The only thing we use the grates for currently is chicken and baked potatoes. Everything else I cook is put in a cast iron pan, so the burner is nice. What was it about the grill box you didn’t like if I may ask?
@@saddad6601 they were hard to clean and didn’t seem to heat well even in high. Also it was just easier to transport on our camping trips without it. We’re currently on a lengthy trip to Alaska and even now we didn’t bring the box. I had a big square cake pan that my son added a knob to in the bottom and it works great to use on the flattop. It covers the entire surface and I can use it to cover foods while cooking or just for storage.
@@Chasingthesun2019 love it, thank you!
Great review... would you recommend it for home backyard use ?
Absolutely!! When it’s not traveling with us it’s set up on the patio. Even to this day we seriously enjoy this unit.
@@Chasingthesun2019 thanks for the response
The drip trays go on side of the small bag put the otherside down first!
I thought the burgers looked a little fluffy.
They were vegetarian burgers so not a normal looking burger lol
How fast will it follow ?
You had the grill on the left can you put grill on the right and use that burner for the grill and use the burner side for a pot or skillet ?
The burner for the griddle on the right is “H” shaped burner while the one on the left is a typical round gas burner. So what we’ve been doing is using the round left burner as skillet or pot side and man it sure comes in handy. We also set the cutting board there for an extra counter space if needed. It’s been a game changer in the different ways we’ve used it for versatility with this model of Blackstone. If I had to change anything about this model it would be the size of griddle. Sometimes it could be a few inches bigger.
I have never hated a product as bad as the tailgater. What a piece of junk. Poorly designed and poorly made. Save your money!
We have actually enjoyed ours. We too the grill box off and use the extra burner for pans or woks n such or even a staging area with the cutting board on it.
Camp Chef all the way.
I am surprised you feel this way. We've had ours almost 4 years. It's been really good to have when camping, and it's easy to make biscuits in the cook box. I don't understand why people hate on this. We make stir-fry, and cook our steak on the rack. It is a bit cumbersome, but we cook so much on it. Talk about fixing some amazing pancakes, bacon, and eggs!
@@emtbasicsit wouldn’t get hot enough, especially if there was a hint of a breeze. The legs don’t stay folded so it’s a pain to carry, and the grill is amazingly unbalanced in terms of where the heat is distributed. A latch fell off the grill, and the flat top was of poor quality so it was rough and didn’t get smooth after seasoning. Blackstone wouldn’t even consider helping me out, so I just shit on them everywhere I can.
@@natehastings5776 well, I guess I can understand where you get the hate from, especially if Blackstone wouldn't help you out. I've never had any of these problems you've mentioned. When I purchased this, the box was dented, and the thermometer was not working. I called into Blackstone, and they sent me a new lid and thermometer within a few days.
Your commentary is priceless
Too funny is that good or bad
How is the bike holding up do you think it’s worth 600$ …?
We enjoy these bikes tremendously. We haven’t been able to ride them as much as we wanted to due to busy schedules but we plan on taking them on an extended trip this summer. We fill they’re definitely worth their money.
@@Chasingthesun2019Awsome that is good to hear looks fun thanks for the reply hope you guy’s get to enjoy them again soon. i know i can’t wait to finally get out & ride 🚲 😎.
It's pretty cool how good these drones are 😃👍
Yes it is. I’m constantly amazed.
Do you happen to have the measurements for each of the arms you made?
Not right off hand. We basically just cut them the same length as the one original we had left. But the bottom or foundation arms we found that we should’ve cut about six inches longer to compensate for the lack spring tracks that were ripped out and discarded. Does that make sense lol
It does! Thank you! I’ve been searching and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this. We’ve been having issues with our Jayco since we got and and at this point we want something simple. Do you have a video of how you open it?
@@almagile9768 they say we made one but I’d have to search it up. Basically we do it in stages with one corner at time and cotter pins to lock them in. It can get a suction on it at the beginning so you may need to use a lift board at get it started. We’re out of town on a trip at the moment but we can get videoed when we get home.
they are all sold out as are most blackstone griddles. Camp Chef has a better set up. Twice the btu.
I have a camp chief it seems to be easier to use cause legs just fold up instead of taking all apart
We’ve since discovered that the legs just slide up into the first sections which makes it so much easier. We love this unit and have done so much with it. I think we went with Blackstone because we discovered it first before Camp Chef.
What model of bag is it on Amazon?
The bag comes with it so no need to order it separately.
Very nice video
Thank you so much. We’re still learning.
@@Chasingthesun2019 you welcome and I think those legs will slide up in the folding part...enjoy.... I have the 22 in with hood and stand,...
thank you for sharing this!
Thanks for the info. I have the same exact camper!! enjoy!
We are enjoying her to the max. Stay tuned for the next installment.
holy cow we have 1.1k views
HC Bassin exciting
she has come a long way
HC Bassin yes she has. In a short time too
I hope you are one of the lucky ones these bikes are knowen to have E30& E21 code. And short battery life.
Pedaling does not charge the battery, it extends the range with human power but it doesn't add power to the battery
frod5943 yes we discovered that as we practiced with it more. Will be updating the vid soon with new info. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice video of the ferry. One of the best i have ever come across. I have been working for the MBF service for 25 years and this is probably the best video I have seen to date. Thank You for posting and adding so much information about the ferry and additional information.
Joe Joes thank you so very much for the positive feedback. We trying to reach a happy medium between informational/educational and yet make it fun too. But, it’s a learning process 🤗
