Thanks for the kind words! I commentated Pokémon UNITE on *The* Pokemon Company’s official channels back when it was early on, but they never called me back, sadly. I gotta put my bid in for this game haha. Anyway, you’re definitely right… this was a good representation of “stability” (Mewtwo EX) vs “RNGesus” (Celebi EX)… I know many others in this game rely on the luck factor too, though. It’s crazy. I appreciate that! I did all the grassroots tourney casts for Pokemon UNITE for about two years, a bit before TPCi and a bit after, basically. Then I was in the Splatoon 3 commentaries for about a year or so. Unfortunately The Pokemon Company doesn’t have an application process (usually) for being one of the official Casters for their games, but I know people :D So that will help! Wish me luck

I like this analysis, it’s true - the more new cards come out, even with just promos but especially expansions, I imagine the decks that rely less on coin tosses will be more & more commonplace. Stability over the gamble? Anyway, thanks for viewing!

I really like the crew from HC who puts this on. Can’t speak to if there are other world cups outside of Soccer/Football with the FIFA World Cup, but clearly, that’s something else entirely.

@@nathantolentino3487 Yeah, I'd definitely like them to be separate in how you've mentioned, because if the Spectator was only done through codes...my life, personally, would be hellish, having to contact people regularly for replay codes or something :O (Death)

Get inspiration from top decks in tournaments

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, but just to add to that, if you haven't seen it maybe check out this video for a "new" Mewtwo EX deck - ruclips.net/video/6g3V8xYUD7k/видео.html but aside from that, I agree with what's been said; I feel like it's definitely viable to basically create a deck you see in Top Cut of tournaments often and then just make 1-3 card adjustments as you want and/or if needed. And hey, if you don't know which decks/cards are in the top cut, sorry to be overly-pluggy but that's what my channel could be used for ;) I've got regular weekly videos of the top 8, Top 4, Top 2, etc, for the tourney scene! Yes, even if we're seeing Mewtwo EX still (lol), it's a nice addition to tack on the Mew EX - It boosts it in a way that can accentuate what players would normally do putting Kanga, "Regular/Basic" Mewtwo, or Jynx in that slot maybe. Usually some combination of the description, top pinned comment, etc., on these Spectator Commentaries of mine have links to the streamers that organized them and/or the sign-up pages, etc., on LimitlessTCG - play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament Keep in mind, some tourneys last anywhere from 5-10 hours or more, depending on how many participants are in and how long someone streams it...that's why I created this series where I spectate and commentate *just* the higher-level matches :) Thanks

Yup, it’s all about luck of the draw. Although cringe kids will say “skill issue” when it comes to not being able to draw the cards you need. New gen is so odd

I agree 100% this is not a skill based game at all. And I come from a background of fighting games that are 100% skill based. But I also enjoy this game because I like pokemon. But I also know not to take this game seriously because it’s 100% an rng / meta cards win type of game.

At least a new expansion is coming next week! Then we can all be tired of seeing Mew EX instead! :D

This type of thing definitely happens across just about all of the tourneys, wherein I mean one or more matches come down to merely one misplay! I love seeing the comments of everyone analyzing it, giving way for me mostly to just kind of commentate in realtime/play-by-play, allowing the comments to highlight some more of the nitty-gritty. The second game is even worse. Why would you give kirlia energy? For 30 damage???? Mewtwo would be better so he can get the 150 damage faster.
