I remember helping other people fight Artorias back on the original Dark Souls. My internet was so bad that it actually made me somehow not get hurt by most of his attacks, so if the host didn't die, I usually killed him pretty easy. No I wasn't hacking, it was just the perfect balance of just enough internet to connect to other people and not enough to function as intended most of the time. Anyway, I got so many Sunlight medals through helping I ran out of space in my inventory and bottomless box. So I started handing out the medals to everyone who summoned me. One medal pre boss, then the reward for co-op when we won. I felt like lessening the grind for others to get through the covenant. One guy that summoned me, I gave him a medal, and he just stopped moving for a bit. Then he started dropping stuff. He gave me 5 Gwyn Souls, 10 Guardian Souls, and 2 of each type of slab. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting that. Guess you never know who you'll meet out there, nor will you realize how one small act of kindness, no matter how meager, can result in huge results.

I gave my (now) friend a bunch of items when i first met him. A bunch of poison items and resins, upgrading materials, and healing items. I had to go, though, a couple weeks ago. I was moving out of where I was staying... I'm sleeping in my car now, honestly, times are difficult. But I'll return - one day.
