Just a tip use a fresh air respirator that mask does nothing to keep fumes out of your lungs it’s for dust

I recently started to use this cup system but i notice that when there is like 30/40% paint left in the cup, the material flow is getting less. I need to punch a hole in the cup to get the right flow back. Am i doing something wrong? (and yes, i pull a vacuum with the spraygun upside down before i start)

So you won't have a feeling problem try doing spraying when the sprayer is full of paint.

Bet the people with their cars parked near by would be so happy with you spraying in the driveway … if your newly painted car gets keyed I’d not wonder why …. very inconsiderate.

I would spray the hood first.

i painted my whole car with that gun, it was so easy, like glass, screw compressors, i got same result without lugging around my big compressor

Sata 2000 is the one I’ve used for everything. I got mines used with a 1.2mm tip sprays awesome with slick finishes.

haha did a boat in key west w. my Fuji years ago and a month later customer asked " do you have chickens?". i went to look and a small part of the rear deck... yep. chicken ran across it when wet. was really hard to see. he opted to leave it, as it actually looked cool :)

How do us diy'ers dispose of paint waste responsibly? My local waste companies all just instruct you to dry the paint before tossing it in regular trash. As for solvents, who throws that stuff in the trash? I can always find a use for any type of solvent. Mainly, cleaning paint guns and equipment, I use the hobo freight cup system and it works great. I also have a smaller cup system. I can't remember what brand, but I've had a couple different ones. They use the same cup adapters. The little ones come in really handy for small jobs.

I’ve got a similar electric sprayer and planning on painting matte military style paint with it. Being matte the low pressure should be fine. I’m crazy enough to try it on my cheap car.

I’m using this system but I still can’t read the paint measurements in the spectrum cup. Everyone I see using this system is using a separate mixing cup then pouring it into the spectrum cup. What the point of this if your still cleaning out a mixing cup. Can anyone tell me how to read this paint cup measurements. I know how to read a standard mixing cup however I can’t read this cup. I also see comments saying this is junk I have used it for months now and never had a leak. If your having issues you must be doing something wrong. I have had NO PROBLEMS put her than the paint measurements on the cup and this is just My inexperience.

Do you spray base coats with the sata 2000?

These are complete junk. I am so lucky I tested these with acetone before putting paint in the night before. Now I’m just hoping they will take them back. I bought two kits and the refills in anticipation of them working but lost the receipt on one of them. I like H/F but these are absolutely trash and will spoil someone’s paint job.

Well first you need a hvlp gun with a compresor No need a suit not going to the moon Definitely not recomended for clear BETTER BY A PRIMER CAN AT THE AUTOCOLOR <<<<<EASY >>>>>>

POSSIBLE FIX: attach a weight to the tubing inside the cup without obstructing the flow. As you tilt the cup on horizontal surface the tube should tilt also and remain submerged into the paint. It should continue to feed smoothly.

If I can make a comment Go on marketplace. You can find used units on there sometimes new units for half the price or less. All you have to do is pay for shipping and clean the unit. Most of the time the hoes will be covered in paint and the spray gun will have some paint left on the outside or it might have some paint inside. All you have to do is clean the gun or hose with acetone or lacquer thinner or he can use paint stripper on it. If you use paint stripper make sure to test a spot on the handle to make sure you do not melt the plastic of the handle. Wash the gun off completely with soap and water after using paint stripper on it then you can wipe it down again with acetone spray acetone through the gun to make sure everything is out. I purchased a $2,000 spray unit for $100 and I happen to be in town in that state and was able to pick it up so I had to pay for no shipping so there are some great deals out there happy hunting and go spray some s***

i have a semi pro 2 and have painted a few small things with it... never heard of using comet on a vehicle.. you should really be using final wash and a good microfibre towel. also that squeegee probably just made some scratches which will turn into swirl marks in the clear..
